The present invention relates to a new chemical synthesis, intermediates and catalysts useful for the preparation of the neprilysin (NEP) inhibitor sacubitril. It further relates to new intermediate compounds and their use for said new chemical synthesis route.

Process and intermediates

The present invention provides a process of synthesizing 1-(((Z)-(1-(2-aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-oxo-2-(((3S,4R)-2-oxo-4-((2-oxooxazolidin-3-yl)methyl)-1-sulfoazetidin-3 yl)amino)ethylidene)amino)oxy)cyclopropanecarboxylic acid (referred to herein as Compound X), or a salt thereof, or a solvate including hydrate thereof, and/or intermediates thereof, and the use of intermediates for preparing Compound X. In particular, the process relates to the preparation of Compound X using dynamic kinetic resolution (DKR) and asymmetric catalytic reduction, thereby providing an improved route to 1-(((Z)-(1-(2-aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-oxo-2-(((3S,4R)-2-oxo-4-((2-oxooxazolidin-3-yl)methyl)-1-sulfoazetidin-3 yl)amino)ethylidene)amino)oxy)cyclopropanecarboxylic acid (Compound X) and compositions containing said compound, including the arginine salt, sodium salt and hydrated solid forms of Compound X.

Chemical process for manufacturing monobactam antibiotic and intermediates thereof

The invention relates to a new enantioselective process for producing useful intermediates for the manufacture of NEP inhibitors or prodrugs thereof, in particular NEP inhibitors comprising a &#x3b3;-amino-&#x3b4;-biphenyl-&#x3b1;-methylalkanoic acid, or acid ester, backbone.

Process for early sacubitril intermediates

A method for producing infra-red inert substrates, including molded polymeric articles, films, fibers and coatings and other organic and inorganic materials, by incorporating into the substrate or onto the surface of the substrate an effective amount of a dispersed bis-oxodihydroindolylen-benzodifuranone colorant. The thus obtained, also claimed substrates so produced are reflective and transparent to much of the near infra red radiation not reflected. There are multiple applications for cases of devices comprising electronic components, outdoor construction elements, outdoor furniture, automotive, marine or aerospace parts, laminates, artificial leather or textile materials, as well as in polychrome printing processes and optical fibers. The thus obtained substrates can also be subjected to laser welding. New bis-oxo-dihydroindolylen-benzodifuranone compounds are also claimed.

The present invention relates to processes and intermediates useful for the manufacture of spiroindolone compounds such as (1'R,3&#x2032;S)-5,7&#x2032;-dichloro-6&#x2032;-fluoro-3&#x2032;-methyl-2&#x2032;,3&#x2032;,4&#x2032;,9&#x2032;-tetrahydrospiro[indoline-3,1&#x2032;-pyrido[3,4-b]indol]-2-one and salts and hydrates and solvates thereof.

Chemical process for preparing spiroindolones and intermediates thereof

The present invention relates to pyrrolidin-2-ones according to the formula (1), or salts thereof, wherein R1 is hydrogen or a nitrogen protecting group, methods for their preparation and their use in the preparation of NEP-inhibitors, particularly in the preparation of N-(3-carboxyl-1-oxopropyl)-(4S)-(p-phenylphenylmethyl)-4-amino-(2R)-methyl butanoic acid ethyl ester or salt thereof.

Process for preparing 5-biphenyl-4-amino-2-methyl pentanoic acid

Functionalized nanoparticles, which are obtainable by combining in a first step a functionalized dyestuff, a silicon-based spacer and a catalyst, and in a second step reacting the product obtained in the first step with a co-reactive organic silicon, aluminum, zirconium or titanium compound. Functionalized core-shell nanoparticles

The invention relates to colored and/or fluorescent copolycondensates which are obtained by reaction of colorants substituted by at least two reactive groups which do not interfere with one another, with selected cyclic dicarboxylic acids (especially 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid), aliphatic diols (especially ethylene glycol), cyclic diamines (especially isophoronediamine) and/or amino acids in particular amounts.

Migration-free coloured copolycondensates for colouring polymers

A process for preparing a black colorant, preferably a black pigment, characterized in that a compound of the Formula (I) is reacted with a compound of the Formula (II) in a molar ratio of 1:2, in the presence of a catalyst which in water at 25&#xb0; C. has a pK&#x2266;4.5. For the definition of Rto R, refer to the description; preferably all are H. Likewise claimed are new crystal polymorphs obtainable by this process, and preferably single-phase mixed crystals. Also claimed are synergistic compositions. These compositions exhibit increased light stability in plastics stabilized with basic light stabilizers when they are pigmented with colorants of the invention rather than with known black pigments such as carbon black. The specification also relates, furthermore, to the use of the black colorants of the invention for coloring paints, printing inks and plastics in the mass, and to mulch film, instrument panels, woven fabrics, garden furniture items or elements for the construction industry that are pigmented with said colorants. 

Organic black pigments and their preparation

Described is a pigment dispersion which is useful for electrophoretic displays comprising &#x3b1;) a bis-oxodihydro-indolylene-benzodifuranone colorant of the Formula (I) wherein the substituents are defined as in claim, &#x3b2;) a specific polymeric dispersant, and &#x3b3;) a solvent which is suitable for dispersions used in electrophoretic displays. Also described are novel colourants and dispersants. 

Black pigment dispersion

Engineering plastics, especially polyamide, are coloured with improved fastness and stability properties using pigment compositions comprising an organic pigment wholly overlaid with a crosslinked (meth)acrylic resin or copolymer thereof. Preference is given to the use of diketopyrrolopyrrole, azo, pteridine, isoindoline and isoindolinone pigments. Processes for the preparation of the pigment compositions are also claimed.
