A pneumatic module () and a process supply a patient with breathing gas. A humidifying device for breathing gases. The humidifying device has a housing with a recess, a heater, an evaporating chamber with a water feed, a breathing gas feed channel, a breathing gas outlet channel and at least one float element and at least one filling level indicator. The evaporating chamber can be introduced at least partially into the recess and is in contact with the heater to heat water and is designed to receive water from a water reservoir through the water feed. The at least one float element is guided in a floatingly movable manner on the water and is designed to close the feed of water above a water level set point in the evaporating chamber, and the at least one filling level indicator is designed to recognize the drop of the water level from the water level set point as a function of the position of the at least one float element.

Respiration humidifier

A pressure-resistant tank for liquids includes a plurality of differently shaped diecast parts () made of a first aluminum alloy (cast alloy). The diecast parts () are connected by means of a closed weld seam welded with an electron beam with the use of a second aluminum alloy (wrought alloy). The second aluminum alloy has especially a hydrogen content of less than 0.2 mL per 100 g of wrought alloy. The tank for liquids is especially an anesthetic tank and the anesthetic is desflurane.

An anesthetic evaporator with a pressure control circuit has a differential pressure pick-up () can be calibrated in a simple manner. Device for mixing anesthetic vapor with anesthetic gas

A device and a process for mixing at least a first gas component with a second gas component is suitable for mixing gases in a portable respirator. The gas mixer device makes it possible to bring about the particularly necessary concentration of the first gas component at different volume flows of the gas mixture generated. The gas mixer device has a plurality of ejectors ( ) of different sizes, which are designed according to the principle of a venturi nozzle. The ejectors have respective propellant gas connections ( ) for feeding the first gas component from a propellant gas container ( ) and suction channels ( ) for feeding the second gas component from a mixing chamber ( ), as well as gas outlets ( ) to a respiration connection ( ). An evaluating and control unit ( ) evaluates the signals of two volume flow sensors ( ) and correspondingly actuates proportional valves ( ) arranged in the propellant gas connections ( ) for feeding the first gas component. For small respiration flows, the proportional valve ( ) in the propellant gas connection ( ) for the smaller ejector ( ) is actuated by the evaluating and control unit ( ) for opening, the proportional valve ( ) in the propellant gas connection ( ) for the larger ejector ( ) is actuated for opening in the case of medium respiration flows, and both proportional valves ( ) are actuated by the evaluating and control unit ( ) for opening for high respiration flows.

Gas mixer with a plurality of ejectors for a medical respirator

A compact respirator, which is independent from a central air supply includes at least two gas supply lines, which lead to a gas mixer in the inspiration line. The gas lines are part of a mixing and metering unit, wherein one gas supply line has a compressor for ambient air and the at least one additional gas supply line has a metering unit for an auxiliary gas. Upstream of the gas mixer, there is a gas volume flow meter each in each of the gas supply lines. A pressure sensor is arranged in the inspiration line downstream of the gas mixer. The expiration line contains a discharge valve with a pressure sensor arranged upstream of the discharge valve. A central control unit is connected to the compressor, the metering unit, of which there is at least one, to the discharge valve, as well as to the pressure sensors. The gas volume flow meters, and control unit are provided for controlling the breathing pressure and the mixed gas composition after comparison of the signals measured by the pressure sensors as well as by means of the gas volume flow meters with predetermined set points.
