A method for guiding a motor vehicle into a charging position at an inductive charging station. When the charging position is being approached, a control device of the motor vehicle determines a relative position of the motor vehicle with respect to the charging position at least up to a first distance from the charging station by way of a first location-determining device and, starting from a second distance from the charging station up to the charging position by way of a second location-determining device. The control device estimates the relative position at least in a transition region between the first distance and the second distance on the basis of the motor vehicle's own movement, by way of an odometry device.

A method for determining the absolute position of a vehicle for the close-range positioning of same when the vehicle is being parked is described. An inductive positioning method is performed, wherein a first transmitter in the infrastructure or in the vehicle is excited to generate a positioning magnetic field and a second transmitter in the infrastructure or in the vehicle is excited to generate a positioning signal. The positioning magnetic field and the positioning signal are received by a reception device in the vehicle or in the infrastructure and the received positioning magnetic field and positioning signal are taken as a basis for ascertaining the absolute position of the vehicle. This allows particularly exact parking of the vehicle, in particular of an electrically operated vehicle for inductive charging.

The present disclosure relates to automobiles and, more specifically, teaches methods and systems that may be used for wirelessly charging batteries used in vehicles. In one embodiment, a method for detecting a relative position between a vehicle-side receiving charging coil and a fixed transmission charging coil, may include: generating an alternating magnetic orientation field using one of the coils; detecting the orientation field using at least one coil provided for inductive excitation, wherein the orientation field is detected in a frequency-selective manner by the at least one coil; and ascertaining the relative position using an orientation receiving signal induced by the orientation field in the at least one coil.

An oscillator oscillates at an oscillator frequency and has an output variable being used as an exciter variable with an exciter frequency for compelling an oscillation of the resonant circuit. The oscillation is amplitude-modulated as a function of the code information of the transponder. An evaluation unit receives the oscillation of the resonant circuit. The evaluation unit detects the modulated oscillation and demodulates the code information out of the oscillation. A comparator compares the code information with command code information and supplies an enable signal if a match occurs. A security unit receives the enable signal. The exciter frequency or the resonant frequency of the resonant circuit is varied if initially no code information is recognized by the evaluation unit.
