A method presents a set of input images on a display device. First, a set of display images is selected from the set of images. A 3D layout is assigned to each selected image, and a 3D trajectory is assigned to a virtual camera. A set of active images of the set of display images is rendered according to the layout and the trajectory. The set of active images includes a collector image. The collector images is rendered statically in a collector frame of an image plane of the display device, while remaining images in the set of active images are rendered dynamically on the image plane. Then, the layout and trajectory are animated according user input, and the rendering and animating is repeated until a termination condition is reached.

System and method for presenting and browsing images serially

A method and apparatus for viewing multimedia-based information in accordance with user controls for the speed and direction of the multimedia presentation. Different techniques for presenting multimedia data items are disclosed. User controls provide control for speed and direction in accordance with a user selection device being in a particular location. When a user device is within the defined area, the speed and direction control are turned on. When the user device leaves the defined area, the speed and direction are turned off.

A system for browsing multidimensional information includes a digital data storage circuit that stores the multidimensional information in a database and a digital logic circuit that imports, manipulates and outputs the multidimensional information in the database in accordance with a mapping model maps each dimension of multidimensional information space to a location in abstract physical space, and a user interface interactively accepts input from a user and, using the mapping model, renders a graphical representation of the multidimensional information space. The graphical representation is responsive to input of user-initiated restrictions on the multidimensional information space by effecting corresponding visible manifestations in the graphical representation
