The present disclosure describes systems, apparatus, and methods for application of dynamic magnetic field (DMF) treatment to direct movement, and specifically rotation, of magnetic particles associated with a target structure, so that mechanical force is applied to the target structure. In certain embodiments, the present disclosure demonstrates application of DMF treatment to direct rotation about the axis in individual magnetic particles (e.g., superparamagnetic nanoparticles), effecting permeabilization and/or other disruption of membranes (e.g., cell membranes and/or intracellular membranes). In certain embodiments, the present disclosure describes use of an alternating current superconductor (ACSC) to greatly enhance the magnetic field amplitude so that the field can penetrate deeper into a body with sufficient amplitude to control movement of the nanoparticles within a working volume.

Systems and methods for treatment of disease via application of mechanical force by controlled rotation of nanoparticles inside cells

The invention relates to an electric machine with a stator (), with a rotor and with multiple machine coils (). The electrical machine comprises a cooling device, which is suitable for cooling a superconducting material to at least below a transition temperature. Windings () of at least two machine coils () consist of the superconducting material and are assigned to different winding groups. The windings () are operatively connected with the cooling device, in order to cool the windings () to below the transition temperature. The electrical machine comprises an open-loop or closed-loop controlled power supply device, electrically conductively connected with the windings (), for the supply of electrical power and controlling of the machine coils (). At least two winding groups are each electrically-conductively connected with a separate, open-loop or closed-loop controlled power output stage () of the power supply device. The separate, open-loop or closed-loop controlled power output stages () are arranged within the thermal insulation area () of the electric machine delimited by the thermal insulator.

A method for manufacturing a high temperature superconductor (=HTS) coated tape (), with the following steps: preparation of a substrate tape (), deposition of at least one buffer layer (), deposition of an HTS film (), deposition of a metallic protection layer () on the HTS film () and deposition of a metallic shunt layer () is characterized in that, prior to deposition of the metallic shunt layer (), the partially prepared coated tape () undergoes a laser beam cutting in order to provide a desired tape form, wherein the laser beam cutting is applied together with a gas flow and/or a liquid flow (). The method reduces the loss of critical current and reduces or avoids a deterioration of the critical temperature in a HTS coated tape due to tape cutting.
