A computer-implemented method for spectroscopic analysis of biological material is provided that includes analyzing samples of biological material from a plurality of sources, and delivering samples of biological material to at least one flow cell for spectroscopy, and determining whether the spectroscopic analysis for each sample of the plurality of samples is or is predicted to be ambiguous in that it is affected by at least two non-discriminable factors. If such a determination is made, a disambiguating step can be performed.

A disposable port device for connecting a functional unit to a flexible wall of a disposable container includes a flange to be connected to the flexible wall of the disposable container and an insert providing or receiving the functional unit. The flange and the insert are separate parts made from different materials with different material characteristics. A method of manufacturing such a disposable port device includes the steps of producing the flange from a first material, producing the insert from a different second material, the first and second materials having different material characteristics, and connecting the insert to the flange.

A bag for containing a biopharmaceutical product includes at least one fluid input/output port and a measurement opening remote from the fluid port. A probe holder port has a body with an axial through-bore and a peripheral collar with a second fastening zone and defining a fastening plane. A contact probe, extending in the axial through-bore, is assembled on the probe holder port, has an active measurement end portion in contact with the product, and has an end portion opposite the end portion. The probe holder port includes a transition portion between the body and the collar, which extends between a radially central end portion of the collar and a first axial end portion of the body. The invention relates to a pinch valve comprising a valve element () with precisely one flow channel () that is surrounded by a circumferential wall () and has an inlet opening (), which is designed for connecting a connection member () or which adjoins a connection element (), at a first end and an outlet opening (), which is designed for connecting a connection member () or adjoins a connection element (), at a second end. The valve element () additionally has a pair of force transmitting elements (') or a force transmitting element () and a fixing element () which are connected to the circumferential wall () in a central closing region () that is arranged between the inlet opening and the outlet opening. In the cross-section, the circumferential wall () surrounds a flow channel () surface area which is constant at least substantially over the entire valve element (). Thus, the average flow speed is at least substantially uniform at all positions along the valve element ().

A method for implementing a channel () includes providing a preform () having a recess () therein and heating a channel implementation element (') to a temperature greater than a melting temperature of a material of the preform (). An external contour of the channel implementation element (&#x2032;) at least regionally corresponds to an internal contour of the channel () to be implemented. A receptacle has a wall defining a receptacle interior and a shaft housing for guiding a shaft through the wall into the receptacle interior. The shaft housing defines an annular cap with spaced apart inner and outer walls connected by an inner end face facing the receptacle interior. A shaft guide part has an end facing the receptacle interior and an outer surface that defines a gap relative to the inner wall of the shaft housing. The shaft guide part has an annular wall spaced apart from and parallel to its outer surface. The annular wall extends over the free end of the inner wall of the shaft housing and is sealed to the inner and outer walls of the shaft housing by at least one seal each. The shaft guide part is mounted in the shaft housing by a radial ball bearing and by an axial ball bearing.

A method for testing a flexible container includes arranging the flexible container on a winding core that can be rotated about a winding axis W and forms an internal support. The method continues by winding the flexible container around the winding axis W arranging an external support around the wound container and connecting at least one container opening of the container to a fluid source. The method proceeds by filling the container with a fluid from the fluid source to generate a predetermined positive pressure P1 in the flexible container at a first time Tand determining whether the container is sufficiently leaktight.
