A hydraulic section () for actuating a vehicle clutch having a master cylinder (), a slave cylinder () and a hydraulic line () which connects both cylinders and is divided into two line sections by a ventilating device (). The line sections of the hydraulic line which act as a siphon () and a riser () are guided together to said ventilating device (), such that they are spaced apart from one another, in a chamber which is formed from at least one of these ends.

A slave cylinder and a release system, the slave cylinder being configured in particular as a CSC for a hydraulic system of a motor vehicle. While maintaining the axial extension of the working space of the piston axially moveable in the slave cylinder, the force for actuating the clutch is increased in that the pressure chamber is sealed by two sealing elements having different diameters, and in that at least one energy accumulator is disposed in the pressure chamber of the slave cylinder, the energy accumulator generating a preload on the clutch release bearing operative connected to the slave cylinder.

The clutch system relates to an automatic friction clutch with a hydrostatically actuator-controlled clutch withdrawal. In such clutch release systems, a slave cylinder pressurized by a master cylinder in an engaged state is in connection with a reservoir (tank) via a connection opening uncovered by the master cylinder piston. To determine the opening deviations and location of the connection opening, it is proposed that actuation of master cylinder be velocity-dependent and pressure patterns of the hydrostatic clutch release system be evaluated.

Clutch system

A hydraulic element, in particular for arranging in a pressure line between a master cylinder and a slave cylinder of a hydraulic clutch actuating arrangement, having a housing which has a master-cylinder-side hydraulic connection and a slave-cylinder-side hydraulic connection and which holds a valve arrangement, a simpler design is obtained in that the valve arrangement has two valve bodies which are mounted in a floating fashion in the housing and which can be moved relative to one another counter to the force of a spring.

The invention relates to a joining arrangement for connecting a pipe to a system, especially a hydraulic clutch disengagement system. The joining arrangement comprises a joining member which can be fixed to a final section of the pipe and is to be connected to an opposite piece that is fastened to the system. The joining member positively embraces at least one radially prominent protrusion of the pipe for fastening purposes.

A clutch-actuating device for a clutch in a motor vehicle power train has an actuator motor driving an actuating member and a transfer mechanism which transmits the movement of the actuating member to a clutch release element that is movable against an opposing force of a clutch spring to displace the clutch from a closed position to an open position. The transfer mechanism has a first movement range in which the movement of the actuating member in the opening direction of the clutch does not displace the clutch from its closed position, and a second movement range in which the movement of the actuating member causes a displacement of the clutch. The transfer mechanism has an interval of loose play, which is used up within the first range.

Clutch-actuating device and methods of determining clutch parameters

A power train for use in motor vehicles has a friction clutch including a housing which rotates with the output shaft of the engine and a clutch disc which transmits torque to the input shaft of a change-speed transmission in the engaged condition of the clutch. The clutch can be engaged and/or disengaged by one or more slave cylinders which is or are rotatably mounted on and is or are being held against axial movement relative to the clutch housing. At least one release bearing can be installed between the piston(s) of the slave cylinder(s) and the diaphragm spring of the friction clutch, and a second bearing is or can be installed between the slave cylinder housing(s) and the clutch housing.

Power train for use in motor vehicles and the like

The piston of a master cylinder in the power train of a motor vehicle is made, at least in part, of a thermosetting plastic material and cooperates with one or more annular seals to ensure that a source of hydraulic fluid is communicatively connected with the chamber in the housing of the master cylinder when the piston is moved by one or more springs or otherwise in a sense to increase the volume of the chamber. When a pedal or another actuator causes the piston to expel pressurized fluid from the master cylinder into a slave cylinder, the seal or seals cooperates or cooperate with the housing and/or with the piston of the master cylinder to seal the source from the chamber of the master cylinder. The slave cylinder can actuate the friction clutch between the prime mover and the transmission in the power train of the motor vehicle. The piston of the master cylinder is reciprocable by or with a piston rod by way of a ball and socket joint wherein the ball of the piston rod is held against unintentional extraction from the socket of a connector forming part of or being anchored in the piston.

An hydraulic system that includes a master cylinder, a slave cylinder, a fluid conduit extending between the cylinders, and a pressure relief valve within the conduit between the cylinders. The pressure relief valve includes at least one port that is closed by an elastic member that overlies the port and that opens when fluid pressure acting through the port exceeds a predetermined level to cause the elastic member to open the port.

A liquid reservoir, particularly for use in an hydraulic system. The reservoir includes a container and a cover cap, and it is intended for containing an hydraulic pressure medium. A pressure equalization component is provided within the container for compensating for pressure differences between the interior of the container and the surrounding atmosphere, and a level compensation component is provided for compensating for changes in the volume of the pressure medium. The pressure equalization component is functionally separate from the level compensation component.
