An electrical power component, such as a bushing. The power component includes a housing, a condenser core arranged in the housing and including an electrical insulation, a space formed between the condenser core and the housing, an expansion vessel positioned adjacent and in open communication with the space between the condenser core and the housing, and an electrically insulating fluid, such as oil, contained in the space between the condenser core and the. The power component further includes one or more filler elements having a higher density and lower thermal expansion coefficient than the fluid, and the one or more filler elements are movably arranged in the expansion vessel.

An actuator system for actuating a high voltage current interrupter is disclosed. The actuator system comprises a transmission link for transmitting kinetic energy from a force provision system to a moveable contact of the current interrupter. The transmission link has a first end which is mechanically connectable to the moveable contact of the current interrupter and a second end facing away from the moveable contact. The actuator system further comprises a damping system comprising a shock-absorbing mass. The shock-absorbing mass is located along the extension of the line of translational movement of the transmission link, at the farther side of the transmission link as seen from the current interrupter, so that upon an opening operation of the current interrupter, the second end of the transmission link will collide with the shock-absorbing mass.

A bushing including a bottom contact, and a tubular conductor, having a lower part having an end in electrical and mechanical contact with the bottom contact, and a draw rod arrangement, inside the conductor, arranged to exert sufficient contact pressure between the bottom contact and the conductor, and the draw rod arrangement includes a member in mechanical contact with the conductor and draw rod having a second end, fixedly connected to the bottom contact, and a first end in connection to the member and clamping means, the clamping means is adapted to apply a force, urging the member in the direction of the bottom contact to generate sufficient contact pressure between the bottom contact and the conductor. The member of the draw rod arrangement is arranged to apply the force to the lower part of the conductor.

Temperature compensated bushing design

A test body for use in determining moisture content in a laminated insulation of a power transformer by measuring a dielectric frequency response of the test body. The test body has a laminated structure of the same material as the laminated insulation, and has a shape and a size to obtain moisture content characteristics that resembles the moisture content characteristics of the laminated power transformer insulation. The test body further includes electrodes, which are embedded in the laminated structure.

An arc detector for detecting undesired arcs. The arc detector includes: an antenna for receiving an electromagnetic signal representing an arc; and a discriminator for analyzing a signal from the antenna, the discriminator including a spectrum analyzer arranged to detect whether the signal represents a normal arc or an undesired arc. The discriminator is arranged to detect whether the signal represents a normal arc or an undesired arc by comparing signal levels at frequencies of a spectrum of the signal corresponding to at least one partial reference spectrum, and determining the arc to be a normal arc if a deviation from the reference spectrum is less than a threshold deviation. A corresponding method is also presented.

A DC switching device including a plurality of arc-extinguishing chambers and a plurality of contacting units conductively connected in series to each other, each of the contacting units including a stationary contact and a movable contact movable between a rest position and a working position, an air gap is formed between the contacts when the movable contact is moved from the working position to the rest position and each of the chambers enclosing a contacting unit and including a splitter plate unit including one or more splitter plates arranged for splitting and cooling an arc occurring in the air gap between the contacts. The chambers include a permanent magnet for generating a magnetic field between the contacting unit and the splitter plate unit and the splitter plates are made of non-ferromagnetic material, and the splitter plates of the chambers are made of ferromagnetic material.

A device for sensing discharges in a test object (,) with two electric connection conductors (,), preferably a cable joint, comprises at least one first and one second sensor (,) and evaluation equipment (EVU). Each one of the sensors generates and supplies to the evaluation equipment sensor signals in dependence on current pulses through the connection conductors and the direction thereof, the first sensor a first sensor signal (v,) and the second sensor a second sensor signal (v,). The evaluation equipment generates in dependence on received sensor signals an indication signal (IND), indicating a partial discharge in the test object. The device comprises a first tuning unit (T,) associated with the first sensor and a second tuning unit (T,) associated with the second sensor, each unit, in dependence on the respective sensor signal, forming a first filter signal (SF,) and a second filter signal (SF,), respectively, periodically oscillating with a preselected period (TP), as well as a multiplying member (MU), which is supplied with, and in dependence on said filter signals, forms a product signal (SP), whereby the evaluation equipment forms the indication signal in dependence on the product signal.
