A system includes a memory device and a processing device coupled to the memory device. The memory device can include memory cells. The processing device can store operation system data in the memory cells in a single level cell (SLC) mode. The processing device can assert a flag indicating that the data written to the memory cells in the SLC mode is to remain stored in the SLC mode. The processing device can de-assert the flag, thereby indicating that the data is foldable into memory cells in a non-SLC mode.

A multi-mode hybrid memory drive comprises a bulk memory device and a removable cache memory device. A controller of the bulk memory device may be configured to operate the bulk memory device in either a stand-alone mode or a hybrid mode responsive to detecting the removable cache memory device being coupled with a cache port of the bulk memory device. A method of operating a multi-mode hybrid drive may also comprise monitoring a cache port of a bulk memory device to determine a presence of a removable cache memory device, operating the bulk memory device as a stand-alone drive responsive to determining the removable cache memory device is not present, and operating the bulk memory device as a hybrid drive using the removable cache memory device as a data cache responsive to determining the removable cache memory device is present. Additional hybrid memory drives and computer systems are also described.

An interactive device includes a first sensor, a first button, an accelerometer, a processor, and a transmitter. The first sensor is configured to receive coordinate information from a coordinate projection of a projector. The first button is configured to transmit an erase signal when the first button is pressed. The accelerometer is configured to provide angle information for the interactive device. The processor is in communication with the first sensor, with the first button, and with the accelerometer. The processor configured to receive the coordinate information from the first sensor, to receive the erase signal from the first button, to receive the angle information from the accelerometer, and to generate erase information based on the coordinate information, the erase signal, and the angle information. The transmitter is in communication with the processor, and is configured to transmit a delete request including the erase information received from the processor to the projector.

Interactive projector device

A method and apparatus for tracking a location of an object or target in a 3D space. At least one target including unique sub-targets is attached to a vision object in the 3D space. A camera disposed in a 3D space, and coupled to a computing device captures a 2D image of a target. The camera computing device identifies the sub-targets of the target and transfers the sub-target data to a computing device associated with the camera which accesses a data base of target data to identify target an, using sub-target separation distances in the database to determine 3D location and orientation of the target. Another computing device transforms the 3D locations of the detected target in the camera coordinate system into a single 3D coordinate system for the 3D space. The 3D location of targets detected by multiple cameras of different computing devices maybe daisy chained together to convert the target location in the 3D coordinate systems of each computing device into a single 3D coordinate system.

Implementation of multi-camera tracking applications using rich color transition curve target sequences

A system and method for providing a docking station that supports bi-directional high speed data, high bandwidth display, and power to a computing device utilizing a standard connector on the computing device are described. This includes a standard connector on the computing device including a standard digital display connector having a first set of two lanes and a second set of two lanes, a USB host that provides USB signals that enable bi-directional high speed data, a digital display source that provides digital display signals that enable high bandwidth display and couples digital display signals to the digital display connector on the second set of lanes, a multiplexor that receives signals from the USB host, receives signals from the digital display source, and couples the USB signals to the digital display connector on the first set of lanes, and a power subsystem that receives power via the digital display connector.

Method and system for using a standard connector to deliver combined display, data and power signals

Systems and methods for power state transitioning in an information handling system having a volatile memory and a nonvolatile memory are disclosed. Dirty data in the volatile memory may be identified. The dirty data may include data that has not been stored in the nonvolatile memory. Dirty data may be written from the volatile memory to the nonvolatile memory. Transitioning to a reduced power state may be in response to a trigger event. Transitioning from the reduced power state may be in response to a wake signal. Data may be copied from the nonvolatile memory to the volatile memory. An operating system may be waked to a restored state.

Systems and methods for power state transitioning in an information handling system

A system and method is disclosed for authenticating a removable data storage device (RDSD) by using a trusted information module (TIM) to control access to data files stored on the RDSD. A security information input receiver receives identity verification factors from a user and provides the identity verification factors to the TIM for processing. In some embodiments of the invention, the TIM uses identity verification factors in cryptographic operation to authenticate the user, the RDSD and the information processing system to each other. The TIM then performs similar operations with the contents of one or more authorization files to control access and usage of the data files stored on the RDSD.

A system and method is disclosed for authenticating a removable data storage device (RDSD) by implementing a removable trusted information module (TIM) comprising a non-volatile storage medium operable to securely store passwords, digital keys, digital certificates and other security credentials ('security credentials'). An RDSD enclosure comprising a disk storage drive, one or more interfaces, one or more connectors, and a TIM is implemented to be connected, disconnected and reconnected to a plurality of predetermined information handling systems. The RDSD is authenticated by the TIM initiating comparison and cryptographic operations between its contents and the contents of authentication files comprising the RDSD. Once the RDSD has been authenticated, the TIM performs similar operations to authorize access and usage of its contents by the information handling system. Other cryptographic operations are performed to determine whether the integrity of data files has been compromised. Removal of the TIM prevents an information handling system from accessing the contents of the RDSD.
