A method for manufacturing a plurality of components, each of the plurality of components including at least one electrical feedthrough, in which a functional element is fastened in a feedthrough opening in a base body by way of an electrically insulating material, an information being acquired in association with each of the plurality of components, the method comprising the steps of: providing, in one of a plurality of manufacturing steps of the method, each of the plurality of components or one of a plurality of pre-stages of each of the plurality of components with an information store, at least one of (i) the information being stored in the information store, and (ii) an identifier is stored in the information store and the information is stored in a database in association with the identifier.

An igniter of a passenger protection device has at least one metal pin for contacting the tripping unit of the passenger protection device. A metal fixing material leadthrough for igniters of airbags and/or belt tighteners includes at least one metal pin fused into a glass or glass-ceramic fixing material in a through-opening of a main body. The metal is present in a post-heated state, with an interface between the fixing material and the metal pin and an additional interface between the fixing material and an inner surface of the through-opening. The at least one metal pin, at least in its core region, consists of stainless steel, such as a chromium-containing stainless steel, the stainless steel having a thermal expansion coefficient.

A base body for a metal-sealing material-feedthrough subject to high pressures in an igniter for an airbag or a belt tensioning device. The base body for the metal-sealing material feedthrough is an element formed by a process of cold forming and having a ring-shape or a plate-like shape. The element includes a feedthrough opening extending from a front side of the element towards a rear side of the element. There is a metallurgic section in the element of the base body with structure-lines or flow-lines that are bent due to a reshaping process of the process of cold-forming.

An apparatus and a method for producing glass products from a glass melt, avoiding bubble formation, are disclosed, wherein the apparatus includes a crucible and an internally component for processing the glass melt, and wherein, for heating the glass melt, the apparatus comprises an AC generator which energizes the crucible or stirring crucible via electrical connection elements. The component or stirring system is connected via a current-limiting choke having a variable impedance with the power supply elements. The impedance of the current-limiting choke is adjusted so that a AC density existing in the glass melt lies between a lower limit value and an upper limit value. By means of a choke and by adjusting the impedance it can be achieved that the AC load of the system can be minimized and that simultaneously the water decomposition reaction at the precious metal surfaces can positively be influenced.

Apparatus and method for producing glass products from a glass melt while avoiding bubble formation

A ring-shaped or plate-like element, in particular for a metal-sealing material-feedthrough, for example for devices which are subjected to high pressures, such as igniters for airbags or belt tensioning devices, includes a feedthrough opening, whereby the feedthrough opening is located substantially in the center of the ring-shaped or plate-like element and whereby the ring-shaped or plate-like element has a thickness. The ring-shaped or plate-like element has a relief region in the area of the feedthrough opening. Further, the ring-shaped or plate-like element in the relief region has at least one thickness which is reduced by the height of the relief region and which is selected so that the feedthrough opening can be punched out of the ring-shaped or plate like element having the reducing thickness.

A metal pin is arranged in a slot in the base plate in the fixing material, the base plate being formed by one element whereby the base geometry describing the slot is produced by at least one separation process. Structure is provided between the front and rear of the base plate for preventing relative motion of the fixing material in the direction of the base plate rear portion across from the inner circumference of the slot.
