A nozzle blade and nozzle ring assembly includes a nozzle blade having radially inner and outer sidewalls with an airfoil portion extending therebetween; the inner and outer sidewalls walls formed with axially-extending first surface features along forward and aft marginal edges of the inner and outer sidewalls, respectively; and radially inner and outer nozzle rings formed with corresponding axially-extending second surface features mated with the first surface features, wherein the radially inner and outer sidewalls are welded to the radially inner and outer nozzle rings only along the mated first and second surface features.

The present invention provides a steam turbine that has upper and lower halves of diaphragm. The steam turbine of the present invention also provides an adjustable support bar attached to at least the upper half or the lower half of the diaphragm. The adjustable support bar of the present invention has a screw therein such that the adjustable support bar can raise or lower the upper half or the lower half of the diaphragm without removing each half of the diaphragm. Also provided are methods for adjusting and supporting a vertical position of the upper half and the lower half of the diaphragm at a horizontal split line in a steam turbine.

A steam turbine nozzle singlet having a blade or airfoil between inner and outer sidewalls is provided. The sidewalls include steps or flanges which are received in complementary recesses in the rings enabling axially short low heat input welds e.g., e-beam welds. These complementary steps and recesses mechanically interlock the singlet between the rings preventing displacement of the singlet in the event of weld failure. The low heat input welds minimize or eliminate distortion of the nozzle flow path. Additional features on the singlets, provide a datum for milling machines to form singlets of different sizes.

The flowpath assembly includes inner and outer circular bands 16 and 18, respectively, and a plurality of stator blades 20 extending between the bands. The tip portions 26 of the stator blades and the openings 30 in the outer bands are at least as large as the footprints F of the blades in a radial direction. Thus, the airfoil portions 22 of the blades, which are bowed, tapered and twisted, are receivable through the openings 30 in the outer band 18 during assembly. The tip and root portions 24 and 26, respectively, of the blades are secured in the openings by welding.

Flowpath assembly for a turbine diaphragm and methods of manufacture

Disclosed is an aerosol deodorant composition which includes an aerosol propellant, a volatile low-viscosity fluid, an oil absorbent particulate material, a silicone polymer and a deodorancy agent, such as at least one of a fragrance and a bactericide. The addition of the oil absorbent particulate material prevents dusting of liquid particles, and the addition of the silicone polymer prevents dusting by the oil absorbent particulate material. Also disclosed is an aerosol deodorant package including the aerosol deodorant composition and an aerosol delivery system having a valve which has orifices for passing the aerosol deodorant composition out of the package, the orifices having diameters such that the average delivery rate of the aerosol deodorant composition from the package is at most 0.44 gm/sec.

Disclosed is an aerosol antiperspirant composition containing a silicone polymer (e.g., a silicone gum) and a volatile low-viscosity fluid in which the silicone polymer is soluble, in addition to at least a propellant and an active antiperspirant salt. The silicone polymer is in the composition in an amount of at least 0.1% by weight based on the total weight of the compositoin, and is completely dissolved in the composition. Use of the silicone polymer and the volatile low-viscosity fluid, with the polymer completely dissolved in the composition, avoids dustiness and clogging of the aerosol valve, and permits delivery of the composition at relatively low delivery rates. Where the silicone polymer and volatile low-viscosity fluid are provided as a substantially fluid, product bounce-back upon spraying is further reduced, product deposition is increased, and the deposited product has greater resistance to washing-off and rubbing-off. By delivering the composition from the aerosol package at low delivery rates, product bounce-off is even further reduced, thereby further reducing dusting.
