The blood pump may include a flexible distal tip having a distal end segment, an intermediate segment, and a proximal segment, each segment having various shapes and/or hardness. The blood pump may include a cannula and a can element coupling the flexible distal tip to the cannula.

Embodiments in the present disclosure relate to an anchoring and centering device for a circulatory support pump. An exemplary apparatus comprises an expandable anchoring device extending along a longitudinal axis, wherein the expandable anchoring device is arranged about a central axis. A distal portion of the expandable anchoring device defines an annulus through which the cardiac pump can be arranged and to which the cardiac pump can be releasable coupled. A proximal portion of the expandable anchoring device is configured to circumferentially expand to an unconstrained configuration that has a cross-sectional diameter greater than a diameter of the annulus. The exemplary apparatus also includes a constraining member arranged over the expandable anchoring device to constrain the expandable anchoring device in a constrained configuration for delivery of the anchoring apparatus.

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a circulatory support device with an integrated cannula. In an exemplary embodiment, an apparatus for attachment to a cardiac pump, comprises an adaptor. The adaptor comprises an annular cross section configured to receive the cardiac pump. The annular cross section is secured to the cardiac pump. The adaptor also comprises a plurality of channels arranged around the adapter and a cannula comprising a proximal portion, a distal portion, and an intermediate portion comprising a braided mesh extending between the distal portion and the proximal portion. The proximal portion has a proximal end comprising a plurality of elements arranged through the channels and the distal portion comprises a plurality of wires and a tip element. The plurality of wires extend in a distal direction from the braided mesh to the tip element and are secured to the tip element. And, a coating covers at least a portion of the braided mesh.

An intravascular catheter and related methods of use or manufacture are disclosed. The catheter includes an outer tubular member having a proximal end and a distal end, and an inner tubular member having a proximal end and a distal end. An inflatable balloon have a proximal end waist coupled to the outer tubular member adjacent to the distal end thereof, and a distal end waist coupled to the inner tubular member adjacent to the distal end thereof. The balloon includes an interior surface, an exterior surface, and a lumen defined by the interior surface. The balloon further includes at least one section extending from the interior surface of the balloon to the exterior surface of the balloon. A transmitter is disposed about the inner tubular member. In addition to the above, the proximal end waist is coupled to the outer tubular member such that an inflation fluid exits the balloon.
