Tractor with speed-responsive circuit-interrupting switch for automatically dousing, at night, flood work lamps provided in a lighting circuit on the tractor. Switching is controlled according to a microcomputer chip program by which frequency of a ground speed transducer is compared with the speed limit speeds pre-assigned to an intermediate tractor speed range; thus deluminizing occurs, necessarily on the highest side, at one speed commonly associated with highway rate of travel whereas, on the lower side, the switching effective to reconnect and relight the lamps is at a materially different desired speed of the tractor.

A vehicle control mechanism for manipulating three controllable members through one control handle. The control mechanism includes a support rigidly attached to the vehicle. The support rotatably carries three control assemblies which are operably connected to one of each of the three controllable members. The control mechanism also includes a drive assembly rotatably carried by the first and third control assemblies first, second and third control assemblies and the support have force selectively transmitted therebetween by a roller which is contained in the control assembly by roller retainers of the support. The force which manipulates the controllable members is derived from the operator selectively pivoting the handle about the third control assembly. To manipulate the various control assemblies the operator will either pivot the handle to engage the handle and the dive assembly or pivot the handle to engage the handle and the second control assembly. The controlling force is supplied to the respective control members by the operators rotation of the handle about its rotational connection to the third control assembly; after the handle has been selectively pivoted about its pivot point. The final features of the control mechanism are a centering spring which urges the handle into a normal position about its pivot point, which normal position cooperates with a regulator that produces selective engagement of the individual controllable members by sequential pivoting and rotation of the handle.

A wedge lock wheel assembly for mounting a tire rim in which the assembly includes a hub rigidly attached to the rim having a chamber with a centerline substantially perpendicular to the disk, a plurality of stops and a plurality of pairs of paired ramps with a known hardness having complex angles relative to the disks, a plurality of sets of paired wedges positioned within the chamber capable of relative motion therebetween and having an aperture passing through each of said pairs, a generally flat and bottom surface, a slope top surface and a hardness greater than the hardness of the ramps, a plurality of restraining members for limiting the motion between sets of said wedge pairs, an axle having horizontal contact surfaces with a hardness greater than the hardness of the wedges and a plurality of connecting elements passing through said wedge apertures for establishing contact between said ramps and said slope surfaces and between said bottom surfaces and said contact surfaces.
