In one embodiment, a method and apparatus for resolving domain name system queries using unique top-level domains in a private network space are disclosed. For example, the method determines that a domain name service query specifies a destination residing in a private network space rather than in a public Internet space. The method then routes the domain name service query to a top-level domain name service server associated with the private network space, without routing the domain name service query to a root domain name service server in the public Internet space. The top-level domain name system server resides in the highest level of a hierarchy of domain name system servers belonging to the private network space.

A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a computer-readable storage medium in a media controller having computer instructions to execute a soft-phone client application on the media processor, receive an audio call or a video call originating from an IP Multimedia Subsystem network where the calls are directed to the media processor by a gateway having a switch that routes the audio call or video call in accordance with a destination address included in a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) header message, and selectively answer one of the audio call or the video call. Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for providing and using an accessory setting service. Accessory data can be received from a computing device in communication with an accessory. The accessory data can include a unique identifier associated with the accessory. Based upon the unique identifier, a determination can be made as to whether or not the accessory data relates to a new accessory. If the accessory data does not relate to a new accessory, settings data associated with the accessory can be generated and transmitted to a recipient. If the accessory data relates to the new accessory, accessory settings associated with the accessory can be identified and stored with the unique identifier as accessory settings data.

A method includes receiving information at a media device from an accessory device. The information includes first image data captured by a camera and second image data captured by the camera subsequent to capture of the first image data. The camera is a component of an earpiece of the accessory device. The method includes identifying, at a processor of the media device, a particular limb movement of a user of the accessory device based on the information. The method also includes performing an action with the processor, the action based on the particular limb movement.
