A micro strip to waveguide transition comprising a waveguide module and a section of printed circuit board (PCB). The waveguide module comprises a waveguide aperture and a repetitive structure, the waveguide aperture being arranged extending through the module for attaching a waveguide to an external side of the module, the repetitive structure comprising a plurality of protruding elements arranged to surround the waveguide aperture on an internal side of the module and to define a passage into the waveguide aperture on the internal side, wherein the repetitive structure is configured to attenuate electromagnetic signal propagation in a frequency band past the repetitive structure while allowing propagation via the passage, the transition further comprising a PCB with a patch antenna connected to a transmission line and arranged to face the passage into the waveguide aperture.

Contactless microstrip to waveguide transition

A microstrip to waveguide transition comprising a waveguide module and a section of printed circuit board (PCB). The waveguide module comprises a waveguide aperture and a repetitive structure, the waveguide aperture being arranged extending through the module for attaching a waveguide to an external side of the module, the repetitive structure comprising a plurality of protruding elements arranged to surround the waveguide aperture on an internal side of the module and to define a passage into the waveguide aperture on the internal side, wherein the repetitive structure is configured to attenuate electromagnetic signal propagation in a frequency band past the repetitive structure while allowing propagation via the passage, the transition further comprising a PCB with a patch antenna connected to a transmission line and arranged to face the passage into the waveguide aperture.

An antenna array with a layered structure having a base layer with a metamaterial structure, a printed circuit board (PCB) layers, a feed layer arranged on the opposite side of the PCB from the RF IC(s), and a radiating layer arranged on the feed layer. The radiating layer having a plurality of radiating elements. The metamaterial structure is arranged to attenuate electromagnetic radiation propagating between the at least two adjacent waveguides in the frequency band.

Antenna array based on one or more metamaterial structures

A phased array is disclosed, including: a base layer including a substrate with a plurality of protruding posts, for stopping wave propagation along the base layer, and a printed circuit board (PCB) arranged on the base layer, and including at least one phased array radio frequency (RF) integrated circuit (IC) on a first side of the PCB facing the base layer and the protruding posts. The PCB further includes feeds for transferring of RF signals from the phased array RF IC(s) to an opposite second side of the PCB. A radiating layer, including a plurality of radiating elements for transmitting and/or receiving RF signals from the phased array antenna is also provided, together with a feeding layer for transfer of RF signals, arranged between the feeds of the PCB on the second side and the radiating elements of the radiating layer.

Phased array antenna

It is provided a waveguide comprising a tubular, electrically conductive waveguide body, the waveguide having a rectangular cross-section. The waveguide further comprises an electrically conductive foil comprising at least one matching portion arranged within the waveguide body, extending along a propagation direction of the waveguide body, and at least one connection portion arranged outside of the waveguide body, for connecting the waveguide to a component, wherein the matching portion of the foil is tapered in a propagation direction of the waveguide and arranged to form a ridge protruding from a sidewall of the waveguide along part of the length of the waveguide, and wherein the connection portion extends outside of the waveguide, in a propagation direction of the waveguide and in the same plane as the matching portion. It is also provided a waveguide arrangement and a method for manufacturing such a waveguide arrangement.

Transition between a tubular waveguide body and an external planar connection portion through a planar matching ridge in the waveguide body

An antenna arrangement for LOS-MIMO communication, comprising first and second directive antenna units, a mounting bracket, and a connecting element attached to at least one of the directive antenna units and arranged to separate the directive antenna units by a distance. The connecting element is rotatably arranged in relation to the mounting bracket, wherein a rotation of the connecting element about the rotation axis changes an effective distance d between the first and the second directive antenna units.

Rotatable antenna arrangement for LOS-MIMO

The present disclosure relates to a reflector antenna arrangement comprising at least a first reflective metal surface and a signal feeding arrangement transition that is adapted to receive a signal feeding arrangement that in turn is adapted to transmit and/or receive electromagnetic radiation via the first reflective metal surface. The reflector antenna arrangement further comprises a common dielectric body comprising at least one dielectric material, to which common dielectric body the first reflective metal surface is attached in a fixed relation to the signal feeding arrangement transition with a certain distance between them such that said transmitted and/or received electromagnetic radiation at least partly is arranged to propagate through at least a part of the common dielectric body.

Reflector antenna arrangement

A verification device for a LOS MIMO/SIMO system which comprises a transmitter unit connected to a first and a second transmit antenna and a first receive antenna connected to a first down-converter which outputs a first down converted signal and a second receive antenna connected to a second down-converter which outputs a second down-converted signal. The first and the second receive antennas receive a first signal with reference symbols transmitted from one of said first and second transmit antennas, and the verification device obtains the phase difference between the first signal as received in the first and the second receive antennas respectively by comparing the first down-converted signal and the second down-converted signal with the reference symbols.

Tool for verifying a line of sight MIMO/SIMO system

A receiver for an MCM signal with pilot symbols, comprising a first phase adjustment unit for adjusting the phase of an MCM signal by means of the pilot symbols and to output a first phase adjusted MCM signal to an MCM re-modulator unit which demodulates and then modulates the first phase-adjusted MCM signal to create an MCM reference signal. The communications receiver also comprises a second phase adjustment unit which receives the first phase adjusted MCM signal and also the MCM reference signal. The second phase adjustment unit adjusts the phase of the first phase adjusted MCM signal by means of said MCM reference signal and outputs a second phase adjusted MCM signal to an output MCM demodulator which demodulates the second phase adjusted MCM signal and outputs the demodulated MCM signal.

Receiver for multi carrier modulated signals

Microwave switch (MS) comprising an antenna branch (AB), a receive branch (RB), and a transmit branch (TB). According to one embodiment, the switch comprises a protection circuit (CPL, DTC, CTRL), which upon a high power signal (Dtc_h) being present on the antenna branch effectuates a biasing of semiconductors on both the receive branch (RB) and the transmit branch (TB). According to one embodiment PIN diodes are provided for controlling switching between the transmit and the receiv branch as well as enabling a protective mode, the control being accomplished by selectively biasing respective diodes.

Circulator and network

The invention relates to an LDMOS transistor including a gate, source and drain, and an earth plane located under the gate, source and drain. According to the invention, the earth plane is given such an extent in the lateral direction of the transistor that an additional component of chip type can be mounted on it, whereby the LDMOS transistor and the additional component of chip type have a shared earth plane. The earth plane suitably comprises a silicon layer which is doped so that it has become conductive and can thereby constitute the earth plane for the transistor and the additional component of chip type.

Transistor and power amplifier with improved bandwidth

The invention relates to an electrical transmission arrangement comprising a first section of a conductor with a main extension in two planes, and a first section of a ground plane which extends essentially in parallel with the conductor section on the first side of the conductor section and has a main extension in the same two planes as the conductor section. The transmission arrangement also comprises at least one second and one third section of the said conductor, which have their main extensions in the same two planes as the first section of the conductor, the second conductor section being displaced in parallel with respect to the first conductor section, and the third conductor section being displaced in parallel with respect to the second conductor section, and at least one second and one third section of the said ground plane, which have their main extensions in the same two planes as the first section of the ground plane, the second ground plane section being displaced in parallel with respect to the first ground plane section, and the third ground plane section being displaced in parallel with respect to the second ground plane section, the said parallel displacements of conductor sections and ground plane sections being done in a direction which is at right angles to the two planes which define the main extensions of the conductor sections and ground plane sections, each conductor section being electrically connected at least to the closest of the second conductor sections, each ground plane section being electrically connected at least to the closest of the second ground plane sections on the same side of the conductor, and the conductor sections being separated from the ground plane section by a dielectric material.
