The invention relates to a method for producing an artificial gingiva, in which a 3D model of the artificial gingiva is already provided. A gingiva template representing at least partial areas of the 3D model of the artificial gingiva is constructed as a negative mold using the 3D model of the artificial gingiva.

The invention relates to a method for producing an individualized dental impression tray and to one such impression tray, wherein a digital impression tray model of an individualized impression tray is created on the basis of a digital jaw model, the impression tray model has a carrier with at least one inner surface which at least partially corresponds to a negative form of the jaw model, at least one surface subregion on the inner surface is marked by hand or automatically detected, a retaining structure is arranged above and/or below the surface subregion, the impression tray model is stored with the retaining structure as a production template, and the impression tray is produced by machining according to the production template. The invention relates to a method for producing a guided bite splint for a supporting jaw comprising at least one guide for an opposing jaw. Planning a repair or adjustment of a dental partial prothesis

Embodiments provide techniques for adjusting coloration of an image. A first selection of first one or more reference points within a first image is received. A second selection of a second one or more reference points within a second image is also received. Embodiments determine a coloration difference between a coloration of the first one or more reference points within the first image and a coloration of the second one or more reference points within the second image. The coloration of at least a portion of the first image is then adjusted, based on the determined coloration difference.

Method for generating a model of a dental replacement part

Embodiments provide techniques for adjusting coloration of an image. A visual scene is captured using one or more camera devices, where the visual scene includes a reference object. Embodiments retrieve coloration information corresponding to the reference object. The coloration information generally describes coloration of the reference object under predefined conditions, such as neutral lighting conditions, desired lighting conditions, and so on. Additionally, a coloration difference is calculated between a depiction of the reference object within the captured visual scene and the retrieved coloration information. The coloration of the visual scene is adjusted based on the determined coloration difference.

A method is provided for an optimized stereoscopic camera with low processing overhead, especially suitable for real-time applications. By constructing a viewer-centric and scene-centric model, the mapping of scene depth to perceived depth may be defined as an optimization problem, for which a solution is analytically derived based on constraints to stereoscopic camera parameters including interaxial separation and convergence distance. The camera parameters may thus be constrained prior to rendering to maintain a desired perceived depth volume around a stereoscopic display, for example to ensure user comfort or provide artistic effects. To compensate for sudden scene depth changes due to unpredictable camera or object movements, as may occur with real-time applications such as video games, the constraints may also be temporally interpolated to maintain a linearly corrected and approximately constant perceived depth range over time.

Optimized stereoscopic camera for real-time applications

A camera control system is provided that uses global planning to compute large, occlusion free camera paths through complex environments, incorporating visibility of a focus point into the search strategy, so that a path is chosen along which the focus target is in view or, in general, to compute a visibility graph. A visibility roadmap data structure permits precomputation of coarse representations of collision-free paths through an environment, together with estimates of pair-wise visibility between scene portions. At runtime, path planning can be done using the precomputed roadmap values to find a coarse path, and then refined to the camera path using occlusion maps computed on-the-fly. Iterative smoothing, together with a physically-based camera model, can be used to have the path followed by the camera smooth in both space and time. The data structure can be adapted at runtime to deal with dynamic occluders that move in an environment.
