A temperature sensing device is mounted to a structure of a building and senses temperature within a building space of the building. The temperature sensing device includes a housing. The housing includes a front surface that faces the building space when the temperature sensing device is mounted to the structure. The housing further includes a protrusion that protrudes from the front surface into the building space. The temperature sensing device further includes a mounting device within the housing and a temperature sensor mounted to the mounting device, the mounting device holding the temperature sensor within the protrusion.

Temperature sensor

The present invention relates to a temperature sensing device with a first temperature sensor mounted to a housing at a first location proximate a first surface of the housing. The first temperature sensor senses a first temperature while a second temperature sensor senses a second temperature. A processor circuit is coupled to the first and second temperature sensors and a mounting device is coupled to either the housing or the processor circuit. The mounting device mounts the second temperature sensor at a second location proximate a second surface of the housing which is spaced apart from the first surface. The processor circuit is configured to estimate a third temperature based on the first and second temperatures and a distance between the first and second locations which is an estimate of a temperature at a third location.

Temperature sensing device

An electrical switch has a snap action blade with a contact pad. The snap action blade toggles between a first configuration at which the contact pad abuts a stationary contact and a second configuration at which the contact pad is remote from the stationary contact. An actuator moves the snap action blade between the first and second configurations. A reset spring has a first position which biases the movable contact into one of the first and second configurations, and has a second position at which that biasing does not occur. A reset selector acts to determine whether the reset spring is in the first or second position. A manual reset actuator is provided to move the snap action blade into the one of the first and second configurations when the reset spring is in the second position. Operation of the reset selector selects whether the switch is in an automatic reset mode or a manual reset mode.

An electrical switch has a snap action blade with a contact pad. The snap action blade levers between a first configuration at which the contact pad is remote from a stationary contact and a second configuration at which the contact pad abuts the stationary contact. An actuator moves the snap action blade between the first and second configurations. A reset latch has a first position in which a catch coupled to the snap action blade can engage the reset latch to hold the snap action blade in one of the first and second configurations, and has a second position at which such latching does not occur. A manual reset actuator is provided to release the catch from the reset latch. A reset selector determines whether the reset latch is in the first or second position and thus whether the switch is in an automatic reset mode or a manual reset mode.

Electrical switch with latching manual/automatic reset

A switch for interrupting an electrical circuit in response to a mechanical interaction, such as an overpressure or underpressure condition. The switch includes an actuation arm electrically connected to a common terminal. The actuation arm is moveable between a first position and a second position in response to the mechanical condition. The switch further includes an M-blade operatively connected to the actuation arm. The M-blade levers from a first configuration to a second configuration when the actuation arm moves from the first position to the second position. The M-blade completes the electrical circuit in the first configuration and interrupts the electrical circuit in the second configuration. The switch further includes a reset actuator disposed to engage the M-blade in response to a reset actuation. The M-blade levers from the second configuration to the first configuration when the reset actuator engages the M-blade and the actuation arm is not in the second position.

An apparatus for coupling a fluid-responsive device with a valve which includes an actuator. The valve responds to actuation of the actuator by opening a fluid path within the valve in response to the actuator being in a first position and by closing the fluid path in response to the actuator being in a second position. The apparatus comprises a coupler having a first engagement structure for fixedly engaging the fluid-responsive device at a first end, a second engagement structure for fixedly engaging the valve at a second end, and a passage between the first end and the second end. The apparatus further comprises a damper fixedly situated substantially blocking the passage. The damper is generally capillarized to establish a network of capillary vias through the damper. Still further, the apparatus comprises an extension formed integrally with the damper and proportioned to move the actuator when the valve is fixedly engaged at the second end.

The present invention provides a cable extension linear position transducer which according to one aspect of the invention, has an integrated support structure including a base and a housing. A potentiometer is attached to the housing and includes a shaft which extends into the housing. A drum is affixed to the shaft and to a spring which is connected to the housing. As the drum is turned, the spring is wound tighter to provide the retraction torgue necessary to return the drum to its initial position.

In an electropneumatic transducer, an adjustment spring is used for offsetting the coil in relation to a pneumatic system leakport simply and without hysteresis. One end of the spring supports the suspension element on which the coil is positioned. The offset adjusting spring includes a folded region near the end mounted to the transducer body. A screw mechanism is positioned to compress the sides of the fold toward each other when turned in one direction and allow the sides of the fold to open when turned in the opposite direction. Movements of the sides of the fold flex the adjustment spring, causing the offset to vary adjustably.

This invention relates to a pneumatic control device having an operating mode selecting means for operating in either the manual or automatic modes. Pneumatic pressure is regulated in the manual mode by a hand operated leakport, and in the automatic mode by a voice coil or other pressure regulating device. The pneumatic input supply, manual pressure regulating means and voice coil all communicate at a common surface. The mode selecting means slides across this common surface to connect together the pneumatic input supply with one of the selected pressure regulating means.

Dual mode pneumatic control system

The interface apparatus of the present invention includes a pneumatic flow control means for controlling the number of moles of a gas confined within a substantially constant volume of gas at a first pressure. A volume relay has a first chamber coupled to the control means by a pneumatic bus and a second chamber for coupling to a pneumatic transducer to be positionably controlled, the first chamber and the second chamber being in fluid flow isolation one from the other. The volume relay provides a second pressure at its second chamber which has a predetermined relationship to the first pressure. A substantially constant, confined volume is coupled to the flow control means and to the relay and the flow control means includes means for adjusting the rate of flow of gas from the substantially constant volume to a region of ambient pressure.

Pneumatic interface apparatus

An electronically controlled apparatus for controllably positioning pneumatic actuators includes, in a first embodiment, first means for selectively flowing compressed fluid to the actuator and valve means for selectively exhausting compressed fluid from the actuator. An electronic control panel is adapted to receive digital command signals from a computerized controller and is coupled to the first means and to the valve means for actuation thereof in response to the command signals. Means are included for isolating electrical switching transients from the controller. In a second preferred embodiment, the positioner also includes transducer means for generating a feedback signal representative of the position of the actuator piston assembly. A third preferred embodiment is similar to that of the second embodiment and incorporates a control adapted to receive analog rather than digital command signals. An optional high limit pressure switch may be used with any embodiment.
