A method and a device for monitoring a state of a physical passenger transport system are described. The method includes monitoring the state of the passenger transport system using an actualized digital replica dataset (ADRD) which reproduces characterizing properties of components of the passenger transport system in an actual configuration in a machine-processable manner after assembly and installation thereof in a building. At least one detection device is arranged in the physical passenger transport system and detects changes in at least one characterizing property that occur due to wear. These changes are transmitted to the ADRD, wherein changes and change trends in the components are monitored and evaluated using calculations and/or using static and dynamic simulations.

The application relates to a method for creating a framework or truss dataset of an escalator or moving walkway using a computer program. In this method, client-specific configuration data are collected, a type-specific, two-dimensional layout is selected, and this layout is adapted in terms of the conveyor height in accordance with the configuration data. In addition, the guideway of the adapted layout is checked using division sections and the layout is transformed into a subdivided two-dimensional layout. The latter is overlaid with fields of defined structure, wherein the resulting overlaid layout serves as a starting point for arranging profile bar datasets in the three-dimensional space.

A method and a device are described for measuring structural components of a bearing structure of an escalator or moving walkway without specialized personnel having to carry out precise measurements in situ. The method comprises fixing an image recording device on a conveying means of the escalator, removing at least one of the tread units of the escalator in order to enable visual access to structural components beneath it; moving the conveying means together with the image recording device at least over partial areas of a travel path, recording images of the structural components to be measured with the image recording device, and generating a 3D model of at least a partial area of the structural components of the bearing structure based on the recorded images. Using the 3D model experts can then measure dimensions and spatial arrangements of structural components without having to be in person at the actual location.

An escalator is described that is designed in an installation space-saving manner and can be operated with low wear. The escalator has a plurality of treads and a guide-rail assembly to guide the treads during a return run. Each tread front intermeshing structure and a rear intermeshing structure that are complementarily configured in such a manner that they can meshably engage into one another in the forward run. The escalator is configured such that at least in a central region of the return run moving at an incline, the intermeshing structures of adjacent treads are meshably arranged with each other. As a result, the dimensions of the escalator can be reduced and adjacent treads can mutually guide each other through the meshing engagement.

The opening of a space provided under the floor to the surrounding floor which can be walked on can be closed in a flush manner by at least one cover element which lies on the floor cover support. The floor cover includes at least one device by which one single possible correct installation position of the at least one cover element on the floor cover support is specified. In the correct installation position, the cover element lies flush on the floor cover support, and in an incorrect installation position, the device causes at least one part of the cover element is arranged so as to visibly project beyond the floor cover support.

The application relates to an escalator step that includes a single-piece tread body, two side cheeks, and at least one supporting profile, which are all formed as plug-in parts and comprise plug-in connections. Owing to this division into plug-in parts, the escalator steps can be transported more effectively in disassembled form and put together in a very simple manner at the assembly site.
