A system for short pulse laser eye surgery and a short pulse laser system, in which a beam guidance device passes through a corresponding articulated arm, and through an applicator head and a microscope head of the system, which is movable in a three-dimensional volume both independently of one another as well as connected to each other. The system also includes an easy to use patient interface with a one-piece contact element, a computer program product for methods of the incision guidance and sequentially operating referencing methods with patient interfaces containing markings.

Systems and methods for short pulse laser eye surgery

A system for therapy of the eye by treating tissue with therapeutic radiation using nonlinear interaction. A laser device is provided, which delivers the therapeutic radiation. The therapeutic radiation is focussed by a focussing device in an image field, and xy scanners and z scanners shift the focus laterally and longitudinally within a treatment volume. The therapeutic radiation is either a second short pulse radiation or a first short pulse radiation, each of which have a spectral centroid within a wavelength range defined by the short pulse properties. The system is particularly corrected with regard to longitudinal chromatic aberrations and lateral chromatic aberrations such that the spectral characteristic curves of the two aberrations each have a local extreme within the wavelength ranges, and a certain tolerance within the wavelength ranges is not exceeded, therefore the characteristic curves are very shallow.

System for therapy of the eye by treating tissue using non-linear interaction

Tube system

An ophthalmological laser therapy device including a laser system, an x-y scanner, collecting optics and a z-scanner. The invention also relates to a method for processing a tissue of an eye by a therapeutic laser beam of an ophthalmological laser therapy device. The invention provides an ophthalmological laser therapy device and a corresponding method which permit, with minimal engineering complexity, a very quick positioning of the laser spot in a large volume region, in particular in a large x-y region perpendicular to the optical axis. The problem is also solved by a method for processing a tissue of the eye or a material located in an eye using an ophthalmological laser therapy device, wherein each sub-section of the tissue of the eye is processed using a corresponding positioning or the device for the adjustable redirecting of the laser beam in an image field of the collection optics.

Systems for short pulse laser eye surgery

A microscopical imaging system for the widefield microscopical imaging of a sample. The imaging system includes a ray path with an objective, a tube lens system arranged behind the objective as seen from the sample, and a relay optical system with an objective-side component and an image-side component. The objective-side component includes at least one first objective-side lens group and a second objective-side lens group. The image-side component includes at least one first image-side lens group and a second image-side lens group. The relay optical system transfers an image of the exit pupil of the objective to a pupil plane between the objective-side component and the image-side component. The relay optical system transfers an image of the sample from an intermediate image plane to an image plane. The imaging system includes an adaptive optical element that is arranged at the pupil plane between the objective-side component and the image-side component.

Microscopical imaging system

An optical system images an object region with an optical beam path in an image plane of an image acquisition system. The optical system includes a first optical assembly through which the optical beam path passes and a second optical assembly arranged in the optical beam path on the side of the first optical assembly facing away from the object region. The second optical assembly is a system at least partly compensating longitudinal chromatic aberrations of the first optical assembly occurring in the wavelength range 625 nm&#x2264;&#x3bb;&#x2264;850 nm of the light.
