An instrument for deploying an implantable medical device into a body lumen is disclosed. The instrument comprises a base member having a base handle and a deployment extension, a first tubular member having a first tubular body and a first handle, and a second tubular member having a second tubular body and a second handle. The first tubular member fits over the deployment extension and is longitudinally slidable over the deployment extension, and the second tubular member fits over the first tubular member and is longitudinally slidable over the first tubular member. The distal ends of the deployment extension, the first tubular body, and the second tubular body are adapted to hold and deploy the implantable medical device.

Implantation device with handle and method of use thereof

A flexible stent and method for performing a stent within a lumen proximate to a target area is provided. The stent includes a tubular member having proximal and distal ends, where at least a portion of the tubular member is capable of being positioned proximate to the target area. The stent also includes a plurality of stabilization members defined circumferentially about at least a portion of the tubular member, wherein each stabilization member extends inwardly to define an inner diameter that is less than an inner diameter of the tubular member within the tubular member. As a result, the stabilization members are capable of reducing migration of the stent within the lumen and the incident of infolding of the tubular member.

Esophageal stent and associated method

A stent and associated method for implanting a stent within a body conduit are provided. According to one embodiment, the stent includes a plurality of annular segments arranged peripherally along a longitudinal axis to define opposing free ends, wherein each annular segment includes a plurality of interconnected segment struts. The stent also includes a plurality of connector struts each extending along the longitudinal axis between, and connecting, adjacent annular segments, wherein each connector strut includes an axial section and a compensating section. In addition, at least a portion of each of the segment struts, axial sections, and compensating sections is curved.

Stent

A stent for positioning within a lumen is provided. The stent includes a stent region and a pair of transition regions extending from respective ends of the stent region, wherein each of the transition and stent regions define an aperture therethrough. At least a portion of at least one of the transition regions is configured in a helix including a plurality of turns, wherein the stent region is capable of expanding to conform to a stricture and each of the transition regions is capable of expanding to conform to the lumen proximally and distally of the stricture.

Duodenum stent and associated method

A stent for facilitating flow between a branch of a bifurcated lumen and an interior region of the stent is provided. The stent includes proximal and distal ends and an interior region defined therethrough. The stent typically includes scaffolding having a cover applied thereto. The stent also includes at least one drainage region having at least one drainage hole defined between the scaffolding and through the cover such that fluid is capable of flowing through the drainage holes. The drainage region is typically offset from the proximal and/or distal end to facilitate fluid flow between the branch of the bifurcated lumen and the interior region of the stent.

Drainage stent and associated method

The invention is relative to a stent with a tubular support frame consisting of axially successively following, interconnected annular segments, which support frame is surrounded on its outside by a thread. The thread ends are guided via a deflection from the outside into support frame, where they are coupled by a connector consisting of a material visible in x-rays. Deflection is realized by two deflection elements in the form of eyelets provided on annular segment. Deflection elements are arranged on the circumference of support frame at an interval from one another and are provided on end-side annular segment, viewed in longitudinal direction L of the stent.

The invention is relative to a stent with a tubular support frame consisting of axially successively following, interconnected annular segments which support frame is surrounded on its outside by a thread. Deflection is realized by two deflection elements in the form of eyelets provided on annular segments. Deflection elements are arranged on the circumference of support frame at an interval from one another and are provided on end-side annular segments, viewed in longitudinal direction of the stent.

A stent () is a vascular prosthesis for a constricted body vessel. The stent () includes a tubular support frame () of ring segments () arranged in axial succession and formed by struts () which in initial state are joined continuously in a wave-like manner. Adjacent ring segments () are linked by differently long connectors () with U-shaped compensating sections (). All connectors () point in the same circumferential direction (U). Moreover, differently long connectors () alternate in circumferential direction (U) as well as in longitudinal stent axis (L).

Disclosed is a stent () representing a prosthesis for a constricted body vessel. The stent () includes a tubular support frame () composed of ring segments () which are sequentially arranged in axial direction and which are formed by segment struts () that are continuously joined to one another in the initial state via transitions (). Adjacent ring segments (-) are coupled to each other using tie bars (). In order to prevent notch stress in the segment struts (), the width thereof increases from midsection () in the direction of the transitions (), wherein the segment struts () are curved in a wave-like manner.
