The present invention relates to a UV-curable hot-melt adhesive for laminating transparent films, in particular, on molded bodies made of wood materials that are coated with melamine or PVC. The hot-melt adhesives contain: at least one UV-curable urethane (meth)acrylate, wherein the urethane (meth)acrylate can be obtained by converting an NCO-functional polyurethane prepolymer with a molar excess of hydroxy and/or amine-modified (meth)acrylates; at least one (meth)acrylate monomer or oligomer, wherein the at least one (meth)acrylate monomer and/or oligomer comprises an acid-modified (meth)acrylate with an acid value of 50 to 400 mg KOH/g; and at least one photoinitiator. Other aspects of the present invention are methods for laminating a film onto a molded body using said hot-melt adhesives, and to the composite materials produced in this manner.

UV-reactive hot-melt adhesive for laminating transparent films

Composite of shaped bodies made from wooden materials with film-shaped substrates, wherein a surface of the shaped body has a first layer comprising a crosslinked radiation-curing hot-melt adhesive, said layer is covered with a second adhesive layer of a hot-melt adhesive, and said second adhesive layer is adhesively bonded to a film-shaped substrate. A method for producing composite shaped bodies of this type is provided, in which method, as one step, the surface is coated with a UV-crosslinkable hot-melt adhesive, and which method makes in-line production of the composite bodies possible.

Coating agent for wooden or plastic surfaces containing 30 to 80% by weight of a polyolefin comprising at least two alkoxysilane groups, 5 to 40% by weight of at least one compound comprising (meth)acryl groups having 1 to 10 radiation-reactive groups, 0.1 to 6% by weight catalysts and initiators, 0 to 50% by weight adjuvants, selected from resins, adhesion promoters, stabilizers, pigments/fillers, softeners, waxes, thermoplastic polymers or water-binding agents, wherein the coating agent is solid at room temperature and can be cross-linked by actinic radiation and by moisture.

A process for the production of a polyurethane hot-melt adhesive based on grafted polyester-polyether block copolymers with grafted-on hydroxyl groups and the reaction thereof with a stoichiometric excess of a polyisocyanate and the optional mixing thereof with further pre-polymers based on polyether polyols and polyester polyols is disclosed. By this process, the polyester-polyether block copolymers are firmly incorporated into the polyurethane matrix on curing, so that they are migration-proof. Highly-elastic hot-melt adhesives result, which, with optional foaming, are also suitable for the production of elastic seals.
