An electric vehicle ('EV') charger plug adapter apparatus includes an adapter housing, a socket extending into a first side of the adapter housing, the socket configuration defined by a first technical standard for use with at least one of a first current or voltage rating, a plug extending from a second side of the adapter housing, the plug configuration defined by a second technical standard for use with at least one of a second current or voltage rating, and a key extending from the first side of the adapter housing, wherein the key prevents seating of a second plug into the socket if the second plug does not have a complementary key socket to fit the key.

A printer assembly for printing on a supply of media traveling in a media direction. The printer generally includes a platen assembly, a print head assembly and a pivot member. The pivot member provides for pivoting of the print head assembly relative to the platen assembly to adjust for variations in the media as it passes therebetween. Advantageously, the pivot member may be supported directly by the platen assembly, such as by bearing supports of the platen assembly, to reduce positioning error from intervening components. Preferably, the pivot member is positioned upstream of the print head assembly. Also, a pair of pivot members may each be supported at the ends of an angulation arm which is coupled to the print head assembly for angulation in the media direction but is uncoupled in the cross-media direction.

The disclosed system for securely latching a device in a support frame employs a pair of latching members each adapted to pivot about a latch pivot axis defined on an exterior side of the support frame and are adapted to engage a corresponding latch recess on the device downstream from the first latch pivot axis. The first and second latching members pivot toward the interior of the support frame to securely engage the respective first and second latch recesses and automatically pivot further toward the interior of the support frame within the engaged first and second latch recesses in case of an unplanned attempt to release the device from the support frame.

A print media roll holder includes a multi-diameter core adapter for mounting print media rolls of different core sizes. The roll holder comprises a ring-shaped frame having a base portion provided with a guide rack which is used for positional adjustment. The multi-diameter core adapter is pivotally mounted inside the ring-shaped frame on two opposing lateral pins inserted through the frame and through the core adapter for 180 degree rotation in a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction depending on the size of core being used. The guide rack is part of a rack and pinion gear system used to vary the spacing between the roll holders in a reciprocal linear fashion.

An imaging forming device using a platen, an upper peel roller, a lower peel roller movably positioned under and parallel to the upper peel roller, a diverter bar rotatably positioned underneath the platen and near the upper and lower peel rollers and adapted to guide a printable medium backing to move between the platen and the upper peel roller to between the upper and lower peel rollers, a peel bar rotatably positioned over the upper peel roller, a pair of lever cams rotatably positioned respectively at opposite ends of the upper and lower peel rollers, the lever cams are adapted to push the lower peel roller to press the printable medium backing against the upper peel roller during operation for moving the printable medium backing through the imaging forming device and to allow the lower peel roller to separate apart from the upper peel roller when the imaging forming device is open for loading the printable medium backing in between the upper and lower rollers.

An image forming device includes a roll tensioner adapted to hold a medium roll rotatably mounted thereon for providing a printable medium strip to the imaging device. The roll tensioner comprises a torsion mechanism exerting torsion to the printable medium strip that tends to pull back the printable medium strip and, thus, to prevent slack of the printable medium strip, the roll tensioner further including a torsion control mechanism to prevent the torsion from getting too large to stop the rotation of the printable medium roll, the roll tensioner also including a clutch mechanism to prevent damage to the torsion mechanism.

An integrated ribbon mechanism comprises a support frame having a bottom plate and two side plates integrated to the bottom plate at opposite sides, a print head assembly rigidly mounted on the bottom surface of a bottom plate, first and second pivotal holes positioned on opposite side plates of the support frame, and a pair of locators positioned at opposite side ends of the print head assembly, each locator having an extrusion portion positioned within a respective slot of the drive mechanism during operation wherein the extrusion portions are smaller than the slots of the drive mechanism to allow the integrated ribbon mechanism to slide against a drive mechanism, the integrated ribbon mechanism being pivotally and adjustably coupled to the drive mechanism by a pair of pivot pins that are smaller than the first and second pivotal holes to allow the integrated ribbon mechanism to slide against the drive mechanism wherein a ribbon strip mounted on the integrated ribbon mechanism will be pulled by a platen of the drive mechanism to align the print head assembly with the platen during operation without losing alignment of the print head assembly with the support frame.

A medium tracking bar is incorporated into an imaging device for preventing wrinkles or buckling of a medium strip sliding over and touching the medium tracking bar, the medium tracking bar being centrally pivoted to the imaging device by a connecting piece and being centrally pivoted by an elastic element to allow the medium tracking bar to swing like a teeter-totter board in any direction to counteract an uneven stress problem on the medium strip due to a misalignment of the medium strip and to realign the medium strip when it passes through the device thereby to prevent wrinkles or buckling of the medium strip.
