A system and a method for estimating a transmission channel of a communication link. A transmitter can transmit a first transmission signal and a receiver can receive the first transmission signal through the transmission channel. The first transmission signal includes data elements and pilots, each of the pilots being located at specified locations within a time-frequency domain of the first transmission signal. The receiver can determine a level of interference for each of the pilots, the level of interference being indicative of an extent of distortion on a respective pilot caused by a second transmission signal interfering with the first transmission signal. The receiver can further determine an interference-mitigated pilot for each pilot based on the determined level of interference determined for each respective pilot. The receiver can use the determined interference-mitigated pilots to estimate the transmission channel of the first transmission signal.

Method and system for estimating a transmission channel of a communication link

A network system includes access points and wireless devices. Each wireless device can exchange data with at least one access point that includes a diversity matrix defining at least two data exchange connections between a first wireless device and at least one access point for exchanging data between the first wireless device and the at least one access point. The diversity matrix indicates a space domain with at least one access point, a frequency domain with at least one data transmission frequency value, and a time domain with at least one data transmission time. Each data exchange connection is defined by an access point, a data transmission frequency, and a data transmission time, selected from the diversity matrix. The at least two data exchange connections between the first wireless device and the at least one access point are configured to transmit the same information.

Diversity control for multi-access wireless networks

A filling level monitoring device for monitoring a filling level of a fluid in a container includes exciter(s), sensor(s), a signal source connected to the exciter(s), a processor, at least one spatial orientation and acceleration sensor, and a filling level indicator. The device uses the signal source and the exciter(s) to couple vibrational loads having multiple frequency components into the container. Sensors measure vibrations in the container after the exciters transmit the vibrational loads into the container. The processor performs spectral analysis of the input signal and of vibration signals from the sensors, comparing these respective spectral functions to extract resonance frequencies of the container, which are based on the spatial orientation of the container. The filling level indicator calculates a current filling level of the container from the extracted resonance frequencies and a spatial orientation signal from a spatial orientation sensor by correlating the collected data with reference data.

A method for synchronizing wireless network nodes of a wireless communication network involves a base station of the wireless communication network to determine or obtain a maximum value for a frequency content per unit of time of an FMCW radio-frequency signal interfering with the wireless communication network, transmit a first synchronization frame containing a first synchronization sequence in a first wireless communication frequency bandwidth, and transmit a second synchronization frame simultaneously to the first synchronization frame, the second synchronization frame containing a second synchronization sequence in a second wireless communication frequency bandwidth that is spaced apart from the first wireless communication frequency bandwidth by a spectral distance larger or equal to the product of the determined maximum value for the frequency content per unit of time of the FMCW radio-frequency signal and duration of the first and second synchronization sequences.

Method for synchronizing wireless network nodes and wireless communication network

This relates to wireless communication on-board aircraft. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a method for controlling an on-board aircraft network cell to be used in an on-board aircraft wireless communication network, to such an on-board aircraft network cell configured to be used in an on-board aircraft wireless communication network, to an on-board aircraft wireless communication network comprising at least one such on-board aircraft network cell, and to an aircraft comprising such on-board aircraft wireless communication network. An embodiment of the on-board aircraft network cell comprises at least one Wireless Module unit, at least two Wireless Data Concentrator units, and at least two independent wireless links, each wireless link being established between the at least one Wireless Module unit and one of the at least two Wireless Data Concentrator units.
