A rack includes a compartment which has an open face for inserting and removing luggage, a lower face and an end wall opposite the open face. This compartment is mounted such that it can pivot about a fixed pivot axis between an open position in which the open face of the compartment is accessible, and a closed position in which the open face of the compartment is retracted. It also includes a door that is pivot-mounted in such a way that this door impedes access to the open face when the compartment is in the closed position and allows free access to this face when the compartment is open. A connection mechanism connects the door and the compartment of the luggage rack in such a way that the pivoting movement of the compartment causes the door to pivot.

A storage device for baggage for an aircraft cabin includes a compartment having a lower face and an upper face, an open face allowing access to the compartment for the depositing and removal of baggage inside same and a back, opposite the open face of the compartment. A groove, the concavity of which is positioned toward the upper face of the compartment, is implemented in the joining zone between the raised portion of the lower face and the back.

A baggage rack includes a compartment having a lower outer face, an upper face, an open face allowing access to the compartment, as well as a back. The rack is mounted pivoting around an axis of pivoting between an open position in which the open face of the compartment is accessible and in which a rear portion of the lower outer face is concealed, and a closed position in which the open face of the compartment is retracted and in which the rear portion of the lower outer face is visible. The rear portion has a cylindrical form including generatrices substantially parallel to the axis of pivoting of the rack, and the distance from the axis of pivoting to the generatrices is increasing from the back of the compartment toward the open face of the latter.

A baggage bin for an aircraft includes a compartment with a lower face substantially plane and a first flap that, in a closing position, is inclined toward the inside of the baggage bin in relation to a plane perpendicular to the lower face of the baggage bin. The first flap is mounted pivoting around a first axis. The bin includes a second flap arranged outside the first flap in relation to the baggage bin and articulated with the first flap. The second flap extends, in the closing position of the baggage bin, from a lower edge of the baggage bin to a ceiling edge.
