A compact excavator includes a base frame, an upper frame and first and second track assemblies supporting the base frame. The compact excavator also includes a primary implement assembly coupled to the upper frame and a secondary implement assembly. The secondary implement assembly includes a lift arm assembly pivotally coupled to the base frame and an implement coupler pivotally coupled to the lift arm assembly. The implement coupler is configured to latch an implement to the lift arm assembly.

Compact excavator implement interface

A frame and method for forming a frame to mount a slew bearing to an undercarriage of a work machine that eliminates a machining process. The frame is formed of a single metallic plate. The metallic plate includes a vertical support portion having a first support leg and a second support leg. The metallic plate also includes a substantially planar top surface portion that couples the first support leg to the second support leg. A plurality of spaced apart slew bearing receiving apertures are formed in the substantially planar top surface portion.

A hydraulic coupling that is used for connecting hydraulic tubular lines includes a male plug which will mate with a standard tube end flare. The male plug has a rounded end that will provide for a line contact with the interior surface of the standard flare. The rounded end of the plug is joined to the main portion of the male plug body through a wall that is controlled in cross-sectional size so that the outer end will deflect as the male plug is tightened into place. This will provide a resilient loading along a line of contact to insure that the seal is maintained even if there is slight axial movement between the flare and the male plug.

Hydraulic fitting

A double acting actuator is used for operating a pair of latches, and is controlled through a manifold that will permit a base end of the actuator to remain under pressure, and accommodate valve and piston leakage by connecting the rod end of the actuator to drain through a small orifice. The manifold additionally has relief valves for providing different pressures for the rod and base ends of the actuator, and a flow divider that provides a low flow to the actuator while the main flow from a pump is used for other hydraulic components.

A control system controls actuation of a hydraulic cylinder on a skid steer loader. The control system includes a movable element, movable by an operator. A position sensor is coupled to the movable element and provides a position signal indicative of a position of the movable element. A controller is coupled to the position sensor to receive the position signal and provide a control signal based on the position signal. A valve spool controls flow of hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic cylinder. An actuator is coupled to the controller and the valve spool and moves the valve spool in response to the control signal from the controller.

Hand/foot selector for electronic controls on a skid steer loader

A skid steer loader has an engine compartment that is enclosed with walls, and an engine mounted in the engine compartment. The engine has components such as an exhaust manifold and a muffler inside the engine compartment which can get quite hot under certain operating conditions. A radial fan is provided for withdrawing air from the engine compartment and discharging it to ambient conditions to reduce the temperature in the engine compartment. The fan is in a housing that has apertures that directs air under pressure against the exhaust manifold and muffler and other hot components of the engine to reduce the maximum temperature such components reach.

Air handling system for engines

A quick attach accessory tool mounting frame is adapted to be mounted onto a quick attachment bracket and held in place. The adapter frame has spaced side plates that slide over a bracket and with a linear movement can be held in place on the bracket. The frame has an adapter plate that can be used with brackets to mount on a wide variety of auxiliary tools used with a backhoe or excavator.

A bracket and frame assembly permits attaching and removing a bucket or other tool to and from an arm of an excavator, backhoe, or the like. The bracket and frame assembly comprises two portions, a bracket and a detachable frame. The bracket mounts onto the arm of the implement. The bracket carries a latch member. The bracket can be moved onto a frame on a bucket or other tool, and is latched in place without dismounting from the backhoe, excavator or the like. The latch member can be released, either manually or under power, and then by manipulating the arm, the tool and frame can be removed from the bracket and a new tool mounted. The engaging portions of the frame and bracket are such that as wear occurs, the parts will compensate and remain secured without play or slop.

Attachment construction for earthworking implement

A power machine has a base, an operator support portion, and a hydraulic slew motor coupled to move the operator support portion relative to the base. A boom, an arm, and a tool are all coupled to one another and to the operator support portion and are powered by hydraulic actuators. A slew valve is coupled to receive hydraulic fluid under pressure from a hydraulic power circuit and is also coupled to the slew motor to provide hydraulic fluid to the slew motor and receive hydraulic fluid from the slew motor. A first power actuator valve is coupled to receive hydraulic fluid from the slew valve and is coupled to provide hydraulic fluid to one of the hydraulic boom actuator, the hydraulic arm actuator and the tool actuator. The slew valve is coupled in series with the power actuator valve.

A power machine includes a pair of traction motors to provide for travel of the machine. The power machine also includes a boom, an arm and a tool (such as a bucket). The power machine includes a hydraulic power circuit which has a valve stack that enables the boom and at least one of the arm and tool to be operated simultaneously.

Electronic controls on a skid steer loader

A control apparatus controls movement of a lift arm and tool on a skid steer loader. Power actuators are coupled to the lift arm circuit and the tool circuit for moving the lift arm and tool along a path. A sensor is coupled to the skid steer loader for sensing a desired parameter and providing a signal indicative of the desired parameter. A power interrupter is coupled between the power actuators for the lift arm and tool and the sensor and interrupts power to the actuators based on the signal. A manually operable bypass mechanism is coupled to the power interrupter and the power actuators and is used to bypass the power interrupter to allow movement of the lift arm.

Hydraulic interblock system

The present invention provides a control apparatus for controlling movement of an implement. The implement is mounted to a subframe that in turn is joined to a frame portion of the vehicle. The subframe is moveable between the working position, where the implement is operable to perform work, and a second position. The implement has a hydraulic actuator for selectively moving a portion of the implement to perform work using controlled hydraulic fluid present in a hydraulic line connected to the hydraulic actuator. The control apparatus inhibits or allows hydraulic fluid flow in the hydraulic line as a function of the position of the subframe.
