A compact lubricant injector is disclosed. The injector includes an injector body having an inlet for lubricant under pressure, an outlet, and a measuring chamber for receiving lubricant from the inlet. A piston is movable in the injector body along a first axis through a stroke in the measuring chamber for the discharge of a measured volume of lubricant from the measuring chamber and thence through the outlet. A valve is movable in the injector body along a second axis different from the first axis. The valve is responsive to pressure conditions in the inlet for operation of the injector in a cycles ending in a state for venting the injector to effect recharging of the measuring chamber involving the transmission of lubricant from the inlet to the measuring chamber. A combination of at least one such lubricant injector and a manifold is also disclosed.

Compact lubricant injector and injector system

A lubricant injector having a body containing a reciprocal piston for dispensing lubricant from the body, a pin extending from the piston through an opening in the body, and a sealing assembly in the opening surrounding the pin for sealing against leakage of lubricant from the body along the pin. The sealing assembly includes a low-pressure sealing member for sealing at low pressures, and a high-pressure sealing member for sealing at higher pressures. The injector includes a measuring chamber, venting of the injector involving transmission of lubricant from its inlet to the measuring chamber.

Lubricant injection

A lubrication system for a vibratory apparatus such as a hydraulic striking device. The system includes a lubricant pump for pumping lubricant to one or more points of lubrication on the device and a drive for the pump powered in response to vibration of the device. The system includes a base for attachment to the device for vibration therewith, and a lubricant pump for pumping lubricant from a supply. The pump includes a cylinder and a plunger reciprocable in the cylinder through a stroke between a retracted position for intake of lubricant into the cylinder and a forward position for delivery of the intake from the cylinder. A weight is mounted on the base for oscillation in response to the vibration of the device, oscillation of the weight effecting reciprocation of the plunger through a stroke.

An air-operated expansible chamber motor comprising a cylinder having first and second end heads, a piston reciprocable in the cylinder, a spool valve for controlling the supply to and exhaust of air from opposite ends of the cylinder, a relay valve mounted in one of the end heads for controlling the spool valve, a pilot valve in each end head having a stem engageable by the piston for controlling the relay valve via pressurization and exhaust of a pilot line, and a bleed for feedback of pressure air to the pilot line.
