The invention relates to a milling machine having a replaceable milling drum, different types of milling drums being capable of being associated with the milling machine; and having a control unit for controlling the milling machine, machine parameters of the milling machine being settable by way of the control unit. Provision is made that the milling machine has associated with it at least one means that is designed to detect at least one characteristic feature of the milling drum; that the at least one means is connected to the control unit; and that the control unit is designed to specify for at least one machine parameter, indirectly or directly from the characteristic feature, a value to be set, and/or a setting range. The invention further relates to a corresponding milling drum and to a corresponding method. The milling machine, milling drum, and method allow the selection of machine parameters for operation of the milling machine to be simplified.

The invention relates to a milling machine, in particular a road milling machine, a stabiliser, a recycler or a surface miner, comprising a drive means which is configured such that the milling machine performs translatory and/or rotatory movements on the ground, and a working means which is configured such that the ground is machined. The invention also relates to a method for operating a milling machine of this type. The milling machine according to the invention has a control unitto input drive parameters and work parameters. The control unitis distinguished by a selection unitC to select an operating mode from a plurality of operating modes. The control and processing unithas a memoryA which stores at least one predetermined drive parameter which is assigned to the operating mode, and/or at least one predetermined work parameter which is assigned to the operating mode, for each operating mode of the plurality of operating modes. The control and processing unitis configured such that at least one assemblyof the drive means and working means is controlled subject to the at least one drive parameter or work parameter which is stored in the memoryA for the operating mode selected using the selection unitC, such that the particular machine function is carried out. The milling machine further provides that at least one function which describes the dependence of a work parameter of one assembly on a drive parameter of another assembly is stored for each operating mode, the control and processing unitbeing configured such that, based on this function, at least one assembly of the working means or drive means is controlled such that the particular machine function is carried out.

A bearing component for mounting a replaceable milling drum on an earth working machine includes an annular connecting flange having a central axis. A bearing stem protrudes from the connecting flange axially in a first direction to a first axial end, the bearing stem having an outer surface including at least first and second cylindrical bearing surfaces axially spaced from each other. The bearing stem further includes a centering recess open at a second axial end opposite the first axial end, the centering recess including an opening angle decreasing in steps so that the centering recess tapers in the first direction, the centering recess forming a portion of the central opening.

A replaceable milling drum for an earth working machine includes a milling drum tube and a protrusion structure fixed to the milling drum tube. A bearing stem protrudes from the protrusion structure axially away from a drive axial end of the milling drum tube. The invention relates to an interchangeable chisel holder () which can be fixed to a milling drum () of a ground-working machine (), having a forward chisel holder () for the interchangeable holding of a forward chisel (), preferably a round-shaft chisel, and having a rearward chisel (), which is held on the interchangeable chisel holder (), wherein, as based on a working movement () of the interchangeable chisel holder () when used in the ground-working machine (), the rearward chisel () is arranged behind the forward chisel holder (). In such an interchangeable candleholder () provision can be made, according to the invention, for the rearward chisel () to be held on the interchangeable chisel holder () axially and fixed in the circumferential direction of the chisel holder. Maintenance-induced stoppages of the ground-working machine can thus be reduced and the loss of chisels can at least be lowered.

The invention relates to a tool combination consisting of a chisel holder, which can be fastened to a milling drum of a soil tillage machine, and at least one leading and one trailing chisel, which are retained on the chisel holder, wherein the trailing chisel is arranged after the leading chisel, based on a working movement of the tool combination in use in the soil tillage machine, and wherein each chisel has a chisel tip having a cutter. According to the invention the trailing chisel tip of the trailing chisel has, at least in some areas, a greater hardness than the leading chisel tip of the leading chisel. Thus stoppage times of the soil tillage machine for maintenance can be reduced and the loss of chisels can at least be decreased.

An earth working machine includes a drive configuration and a working apparatus releasably connected together by a bolt component. A bolting moment bracing arrangement is connected or connectable in bolting moment-transferring fashion to the bolt component, and includes a bracing region that is embodied for bolting moment-bracing abutment in a bracing bolting direction against a counterpart bracing region, the drive configuration being embodied to be driven to rotate, in a rotation direction codirectional with the bracing bolting direction, while the bracing region is in abutment against the counterpart bracing region.
