In a device at a card in which at least one flat bar having a flat clothing is present, wherein the flat clothing, preferably small wire hooks, arranged in a strip-shaped supporting layer, is attached to the flat bar and lies opposite to the clothing of a roller, for example of the cylinder, and at least the regions of the flat clothing that face the flat bar consist of an iron material, especially of steel, there is present between the flat bar and the regions of the flat clothing that face the flat bar at least one magnetic element. In order to increase the degree of adhesive forces between flat bar and clothing element in a structurally simple manner, the supporting body of the clothing strip comprises a sheet-like structure that consists at least in part of a ferromagnetic material.

In a device on a spinning preparation machine, having a drafting system for drawing at least one fibre silver with drafting system rollers, forming drafting roller pairs, having power transmission means for driving the drafting system rollers and having a drive motor, the drive of the drafting system rollers is effected from different sides. In order to reduce the number of drive elements and to effect a substantial improvement in efficiency, the drive motor has two rotating drive elements, the drive of at least one roller pair being effected from one side by the first drive element and the drive of at least one other roller pair being effected from the other side by the second drive element.

In an apparatus on a carding machine for cotton, synthetic fibers and the like, in which at least one flat bar with a flat clothing is present, in which a clothing strip having a flat clothing, preferably wire hooks, arranged in a strip-form support element, is secured to a support body of the flat bar and lies opposite the clothing of a roller, e.g. the cylinder, the spacing between a surface defined by the tips of the flat clothing and the tip circle of the cylinder clothing decreases in the direction of rotation of the cylinder. In order to be able to alter and adapt the angle (offset) in a simple manner in terms of mechanical engineering, the top face, of the clothing strip and the tip surface of the flat clothing are not aligned parallel with one another.

In an arrangement at a carding machine for cotton, synthetic fibres and the like, at least one card top bar has a carrier and card top clothing. The card top clothing is fastened to the card top bar carrier and is positioned opposite to the clothing of a roller, e.g. the cylinder, and at least the regions of the clothing that face the card top bar carrier are made of a ferrous product, especially steel. In order to enable there to be obtained in simple manner a dimensionally stable clothed card top bar and simpler and more rapid reclothing (clothing replacement), at least one magnetic element is present between the card top bar carrier and the regions of the clothing member that face the card top bar carrier.

In a coiler plate for sliver-coiling devices, especially of draw frames and carding machines, having a sliver channel with an inlet and an outlet for sliver and having a rotary plate, there is present on the underside of the rotary plate a cover which has a through opening. In order to create a coiler plate in a simple manner, a connection piece having a through opening is formed integrally with the cover by deformation.
