In accordance with at least one exemplary embodiment, a syringe device, a method and a system for delivering a therapeutic amount of ozone are disclosed. A sterility case can enclose a syringe portion and can maintain sterility while the syringe device is interfaced to an ozone generator. A valvably-controlled fluid channel can extend from a barrel of the syringe portion through the case. Conducting elements can be attached to the case and can breach the case. The conducting elements can be connected to electrodes. The electrodes can be attached to the syringe portion. The syringe portion can be filled with oxygen gas via the valvably-controlled fluid channel. An electric current can be provided to the conducting elements from the ozone generator resulting in a corona discharge from at least one of the electrodes. A therapeutic amount of ozone gas can be produced from the oxygen gas and the syringe portion delivered into a sterile field without compromise.

Syringe device, system and method for delivering ozone gas

In accordance with at least one exemplary embodiment, a syringe device, a method and a system for delivering a therapeutic amount of ozone are disclosed. A sterility case can enclose a syringe portion and can maintain sterility while the syringe device is interfaced to an ozone generator. A valvably-controlled fluid channel can extend from a barrel of the syringe portion through the case. Conducting elements can be attached to the case and can breach the case. The conductive elements can be connected to electrodes. The electrodes can be attached to the syringe portion. The syringe portion can be filled with oxygen gas via the valvably-controlled fluid channel. An electric current can be provided to the conductive elements from the ozone generator resulting in a corona discharge from at least one of the electrodes. The therapeutic amount of ozone can be produced from the oxygen gas and the syringe portion delivered into a sterile field without compromise.

In accordance with at least one exemplary embodiment, a syringe, method and system for delivering a therapeutic amount of ozone are disclosed. An exemplary syringe can have a gas chamber and one or more electrodes. A portion of at least one electrode can be within the gas chamber. Alternatively, singularly or in conjunction, one or both electrodes can be attached to the outside of an exemplary syringe. One or more electrical contact points can be outside the gas chamber. Each electrical contact point can be connected to an electrode. Oxygen gas can provided within the gas chamber of the exemplary syringe. A medical ozone generator can be connected to the syringe via the electrical contact points. Corona discharge can be effectuated via the electrodes, which can result in an amount of ozone gas can being produced from the oxygen gas.

Syringe, system and method for delivering oxygen-ozone

Apparatus, method and system for delivering sterile unit dose of ozone. System includes sterile vial containing oxygen and corona discharge assembly. Sterile vial is engaged to ozone conversion unit having high voltage transformer, ozone measurement mechanism, data input mechanism, and displayed read-out. When power is supplied to sterile vial containing corona discharge assembly, oxygen is converted to specified concentration of ozone. Sterile vial is disengaged from ozone conversion unit, drawing port is attached, and needle or similar extraction tool is used to withdrawal ozone for treatment.

Apparatus, method and system for delivering ozone

A rigid extractor is revealed, a rigid device for use in percutaneous procedures to remove kidney stones directly from the kidneys. The rigid extractor uses a handle fixed to an outer rigid cannula, and an inner cannula to control an extraction device that may be removable from the inner cannula. The extractor is desirably used with a fluoroscope, in which the surgeon maneuvers the extractor with the aid of a view of the operating field provided by the fluoroscope. The surgeon then maneuvers the extractor to grasp the kidney stones and remove from the patient. The extractor may also be used with a nephroscope. The device may be used with a removable extraction device such as a basket, a grasper a pair of jaws, or a pair of scissors.

Handle for interchangeable medical device

Double ended wire guides are manufactured so that either end, or both ends sequentially, may be inserted into a patient. The ends are different, so that the inventory requirements of wire guides are minimized. For example, a wire guide may have a straight end and an angled end, either end suitable for use on the patient. The wire guides may also differ in other characteristics, such as the stiffness or the diameters of the distal and proximal portions. The wire guide may also be stored in a package, the package including a fitting so that wetting solution may be injected into the package to wet the wire guide and prepare it for use.

Apparatus, method and system for delivering a sterile unit dose of ozone that may include concentrating oxygen from air, which can include pressurizing at least one zeolite chamber having at least one zeolite material where the at least one zeolite material selectively adsorbs a substantial amount of nitrogen and not a substantial amount of oxygen. An oxygen-ozone cell may be filled with substantially concentrated oxygen from the at least one zeolite chamber. The oxygen-ozone cell may then be sequestered. The oxygen-ozone cell may be removed and may be engaged with an ozone conversion unit. The ozone conversion unit may charge the substantially concentrated oxygen generating a predetermined concentration of ozone. The oxygen-ozone cell may be disengaged from the ozone conversion unit.

Apparatus, method and system for delivering oxygen-ozone

A retractor may be used during spinal surgery. The retractor may include a frame and one or more retractor blades. Each retractor blade may include a coupling arm, a retainer, and a retraction component. The coupling arms may be coupled to the frame such that the coupling arms are able to move inward or outwards relative to the frame. The retainer may secure the retraction component to the coupling arm. In some embodiments, the retraction blades may be made of a radiolucent material that allows radiological images to be taken during a surgical procedure with the retractor in place. A position of retraction components relative to the frame may be changed during a surgical procedure. One or more of the retraction components may be replaced during a surgical procedure without removing the retractor from the patient.

Surgical retraction apparatus and associated methods

A medical retrieval device is provided which includes an elongated cylindrical member having a passage extending therein and having a metallic proximal and distal portions. The proximal and distal portions are formed as separate pieces and connected at a junction. The elongated cylindrical member has an area of substantially constant inner and outer diameters extending at least from a portion of the proximal portion closely adjacent to the junction through the junction and to a portion of the distal portion closely adjacent to the junction.

Minimally-invasive medical retrieval device

A medical retrieval device is disclosed comprising an elongated cylindrical member that includes a continuum of a material preferably a metal such as stainless steel or nitinol, that forms both the resilient grasping members of retrieval basket snare or grasper forceps and the proximal portion or shaft of the device. The elongated cylindrical member can include a metal cannula or solid rod into which a series of laterally adjacent longitudinal slots are cut or formed in the distal portion of the elongated cylindrical member to form a plurality of resilient grasping members. These slots may be cut in a spiral configuration to produce a helical basket The resilient grasping members in the original compact shape are formed into an enlarged shape to create a workspace volume for the capture, manipulation and/or retrieval of an object within a patient. An external constraining device such as an outer sheath, is used for introducing of the device and to compress the resilient grasping members over a calculus or other object into a substantially closed position An internal actuating member within the passage of the elongated cylindrical member can provide an alternative method of opening and closing the retrieval device. Using a small thin-walled cannula, retrieval devices of the present invention can fit through the accessory channel of a small endoscope, such as an ureteroscope while still having a sufficient lumen size to accommodate an ancillary treatment device such as a standard 200 micron laser fiber or lithotripsy wire. The present invention also includes a retrieval device made from a plastic tube having encased reinforcement wires By removing all material except the reinforcement wires from the distal portion of the elongated cylindrical member, the exposed wires can become the resilient grasping members of a basket or forceps.

A surgical tissue morcellator ( ) for percutaneously morcellating and debulking tissue during a minimally invasive, endoscopic surgical procedure. In an insertion configuration, the morcellator includes an outer cutting sheath ( ) and an insertion member ( ) inserted therethrough and positioned relative thereto via a connector ( ). Surgical tissue morcellator

A releasable, surgical clamp ( ) for insertion through a surgical introducer sheath ( ) and into a cavity ( ) of a patient ( ) during a minimally invasive surgical procedure. The releasable clamp comprises a continuous wire ( ) that is shaped for insertion through the surgical sheath and into opposing jaws ( ). The jaws have a plurality of open and closed positions. The inner member also includes a positioning channel (18) in which a housing projection is positionable therein so as to control longitudinal and rotational movement of the inner member with respect to the outer housing. The inner elongated member is also rotatable for easily side-loading the proximal end of the medical device.
