A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, having a valve body () in which a bore () is embodied that is defined on its end toward the combustion chamber by a valve seat () at which at least one injection opening () originates. The hollow valve needle () is located longitudinally displaceably in the bore () and has a valve sealing face () on its end oriented toward the valve seat (). A first sealing region () and a second sealing region () are embodied on the valve sealing face (), and upon contact of the hollow valve needle () with the valve seat (), the first sealing region () upstream of the at least one injection opening () and the second sealing region () downstream of that injection opening effect sealing between the valve sealing face () and the valve seat () (FIG.).

Fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines

A fuel injector with a direct needle control for an internal combustion engine, having an actuator, a hydraulic booster, and a nozzle needle guided in a nozzle body and acting on a nozzle needle sealing seat. The hydraulic booster includes a booster piston connected to the actuator and a nozzle needle booster piston connected to the nozzle needle; a booster chamber in the form of an actuator coupler chamber is associated with a pressure surface of the actuator booster piston; and depending on the pressure in the actuator coupler chamber, the nozzle needle is lifted away from the nozzle needle sealing seat, thus initiating an injection. In addition to the actuator booster piston, a control element is provided that is able to execute a stroke motion, is hydraulically coupled to the actuator coupler chamber by means of a first control surface, and is associated with a control chamber by means of a second control surface. The actuator booster piston has a second pressure surface, which, as an additional control surface, is associated with the control chamber.

Fuel injector with direct needle control for an internal combustion engine

A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines includes a valve body () in which a bore () is defined in one end, in which a first row of injection openings () and a second row of injection openings () are formed. In the bore (), an outer valve needle () cooperates with the valve seat () for controlling the first row of injection openings (); between the outer valve needle () and the wall of the bore (), a pressure chamber () is formed. In the outer valve needle (), an inner bore () is formed, in which an inner valve needle () is located and which cooperates with the valve seat () for controlling the second row of injection openings (). A pressure shoulder () is formed on the inner valve needle. A hydraulic opening force is exerted on the inner valve needle (); by its opening stroke, the outer valve needle () opens a throttle connection () from the pressure chamber () to the pressure shoulder () of the inner valve needle ().

A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, having a housing in which an outer valve needle and an inner valve needle guided in it are disposed in a bore. The outer valve needle controls an outer row of injection openings, and the inner valve needle controls an inner row of injection openings, to which rows of injection openings fuel is delivered at an injection pressure through a high-pressure conduit embodied in the housing. A control pressure chamber in the housing can be made to communicate with the high-pressure conduit, and by means of its pressure, a closing force is exerted at least indirectly on the inner valve needle. The high-pressure conduit communicates with a control chamber, by whose pressure a closing force is exerted at least indirectly on the outer valve needle, and the control chamber communicates with the control pressure chamber. A control valve is disposed in a housing, and by means of the control valve, the control chamber can be made to communicate with a leak fuel chamber.

Disclosed is a fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines having a valve body in which a hollow valve needle is disposed longitudinally displaceably in a bore. The hollow valve needle, on its end toward the combustion chamber, has a conical valve sealing face, which cooperates with a conical valve seat disposed on the end of the bore toward the combustion chamber. A longitudinal bore is embodied in the hollow valve needle, and a valve needle is disposed in it and, with a valve contact face embodied on its end toward the combustion chamber, likewise cooperates with the valve seat. The tip of the hollow valve needle toward the combustion chamber is formed by a chamfer.

Fuel injection valve for an internal combustion engine

A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, having a housing with a bore inside it that contains a longitudinally sliding outer valve needle which in turn contains a longitudinally sliding inner valve needle and the end of each valve needle oriented toward the combustion chamber controls at least one injection opening. The pressure in a control pressure chamber at least indirectly exerts a closing force on the outer valve needle and the pressure in a control pressure chamber at least indirectly exerts a closing force on the inner valve needle. The housing contains a control valve that has a valve chamber and a valve element contained in it, wherein the valve chamber has a connection to the leakage oil chamber a continuously open connection to the control chamber and a connection to the control pressure chamber. The valve element can move between a end position, the valve element closing the connection to the leakage oil chamber and opening the connection to the control pressure chamber and a second end position, closing the connection to the control pressure chamber and opening the connection to the leakage oil chamber.

A fuel injection system for internal combustion engines, having a high-pressure accumulation chamber, which contains high-pressure fuel, and at least one fuel injection valve, which is connected to the high-pressure accumulation chamber. The fuel injection valve can inject the highly pressurized fuel through injection openings into a combustion chamber of the engine. The fuel injection valve has a control chamber, which is defined by a longitudinally mobile piston and is operationally connected to the fuel injection valve so that the injection cross section of the fuel injection valve is controlled as a function of the hydraulic pressure in the control chamber. A low-pressure accumulation chamber is provided, which can be connected to the control chamber, in which a predetermined fuel pressure is maintained in the low-pressure accumulation chamber that is lower than the pressure in the high-pressure accumulation chamber.

Fuel-injection system for internal combustion engines

The fuel injection system has one high-pressure fuel pump and one fuel injection valve for each cylinder of the engine. The fuel injection valve has a first hollow injection valve member and a second valve member guided displaceably, inside the first valve member for controlling first and second opening(s), respectively into the associated engine cylinder. The second valve member is movable by the pressure prevailing in a pressure chamber in an opening direction counter to a closing force and is acted upon at least indirectly by the pressure prevailing in a fuel-filled control chamber, which pressure is controllable as a function of operating parameters of the engine such that the second injection valve member, by means of the pressure prevailing in the control chamber, can be blocked, independently of an opening motion of the first injection valve member in a position that closes the at least one second injection opening.

Fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine

For each cylinder of the internal combustion engine, the fuel injection system has one high-pressure fuel pump with a pump work chamber and one fuel injection valve communicating with the pump work chamber. A control valve actuated by means of a piezoelectric actuator control connection of the pump work chamber with a relief region. The fuel injection valve has a first injection valve member, by which at least one first injection opening is controlled and which is movable by the pressure generated in the pump work chamber in an opening direction, counter to a closing force. Inside the hollow first injection valve member, a second injection valve member is guided displaceably, by which at least one second injection opening is controlled and which is movable in an opening direction by the pressure prevailing in the pressure chamber, counter to a closing force; the second injection valve member is urged in the closing direction at least indirectly by the pressure prevailing in a fuel-filled control pressure chamber which is controlled variably as a function of engine operating conditions.

Fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine

The fuel injection system has one high-pressure fuel pump () with a pump work chamber () and one fuel injection valve (), communicating with the pump work chamber, for each cylinder of the engine. The fuel injection valve () has a first injection valve member (), by which at least a first injection opening () is controlled, and which is movable in an opening direction () counter to a closing force by the pressure generated in the pump work chamber (). A fuel injection valve with a valve body has a bore that contains a piston-shaped valve member. The valve member is guided in the bore with a sealing section and a guiding section; between the sealing section and the guiding section, the valve member is encompassed by a first pressure chamber and between the guiding section and the combustion chamber end, is encompassed by a second pressure chamber. In the guiding section of the valve member, an annular collar is provided and has a side oriented toward the combustion chamber and a side oriented away from the combustion chamber. The annular collar has a throttle connection embodied on it, which connects the sides of the annular collar to each other and thus produces a throttled connection from the first pressure chamber to the second pressure chamber.

Fuel injection valves for internal combustion engines

In an injection nozzle for a fuel injection system, the opening stroke of the nozzle needle is to be limited selectively, so that different injection cross sections can be employed. To that end, the injection nozzle is provided with a nozzle body, a nozzle needle displaceable in the nozzle body, two groups of injection ports, which are uncovered as a function of an opening stroke of the nozzle needle, a piston that is connected to the nozzle needle, a stop chamber in which the piston is disposed and which is provided with an outlet, and a control valve that can open and close the outlet of the stop chamber, as a result of which the stroke of the piston in the stop chamber and thus the opening stroke of the nozzle needle can be selectively limited.

Injection nozzle

A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, having a valve member that is displaceable axially outward counter to a restoring force in a bore of a valve body. On an end toward the combustion chamber, the valve member has a closing head. The closing head protrudes from the bore and forms a valve closing member and on a side toward the valve body has a valve sealing face. The valve closing member cooperates with a valve seat face, disposed on a face end toward the combustion chamber of the valve body. The valve closing member at least one injection opening on the closing head. The injection opening originating at a pressure chamber and outlet opening being covered, in the closing position of the valve member, by the valve body and being uncovered upon an outward-oriented opening stroke. A two-stage hydraulic stroke stop, which limits the opening stroke of the valve member and is embodied as a hydraulic damping chamber with a relief line that can be opened. The relief line can be made to communicate with the damping chamber via at least two recesses on the valve member, the two recesses can be opened in succession during the opening stroke motion of the valve member, and at least one of the recesses can be made to communicate with a low-pressure chamber via a relief conduit that contains a valve.
