A pneumatic vehicle tire with a belt assembly with at least one belt ply reinforced with steel cords embedded in rubber material. The steel cords each having the same number of steel filaments, are arranged parallel to one another and at at least substantially equal distances apart within each belt ply, have rubber coating layers on both sides, the layer thicknesses of which in total are 0.10 mm to 2.00 mm, when viewed in cross section are flattened open steel cords composed of four to six steel filaments periodically twisted together, at least two of which, when viewed in cross section, are flat-deformed, have a first larger diameter and a second smaller diameter perpendicular thereto, the ratio of which is between 1.10 and 3.00, and are embedded in the belt ply with their first, larger diameter lying largely flat and are at largely equal clear distances from one another, which are 0.10 mm to 1.00 mm.

Pneumatic vehicle tire having a belt bandage having at least one belt ply

A pneumatic vehicle tire for passenger cars comprises a carcass, a tread, and a belt which has belt plies and which is covered radially outwardly by a belt bandage having strengthening elements oriented approximately in the circumferential direction, the belt bandage comprising at least one belt bandage ply each consisting of a central section and two lateral sections each arranged next to the central section without overlapping the central section, the strengthening elements of the central section being x1 construction and the strengthening elements of each lateral section being identical cords of x2 or higher construction, the density of the strengthening elements in the central section being less than the density of the strengthening elements in the lateral sections, and the axial distance of each lateral section inner end from the closest end of the widest belt ply being 5-30 mm.

A method for producing a vehicle tire, having the following steps: a) providing textile reinforcing supports; b) providing a bath which is free of resorcin and formaldehyde by at least: b1) adding at least one carboxylic acid to water; b2) adding at least one base; b3) adding at least one epoxy compound; b4) adding at least one polyisocyanate compound; b5) adding at least one VP latex; and b6) mixing the substances from b1) to b5); c) dipping the reinforcing supports from step a) into the bath from step b); d) subsequently hot-stretching the dipped reinforcing supports from step c); and e) further processing the reinforcing supports from step d) in order to form a reinforcing support layer in a vehicle tire blank. A vehicle tire which is produced using the method and to the use of reinforcing supports treated in such a manner in technical rubber articles are also disclosed.

The invention relates to a hybrid cord for use as a reinforcement in a belt bandage of a pneumatic vehicle tire, consisting of at least two threads with ends which are twisted together. At least one first thread is a high-modulus thread with a specified thread fineness, and another thread is a low-modulus thread, said other low-modulus thread having a lower thread fineness than the first thread. The invention is characterized in that the proportion of the high-modulus thread in the hybrid cord is 80-95 wt. %; the difference between the thread fineness of the high-modulus thread and the thread fineness of the other low-modulus thread is &#x3e;800 dtex; and the elongation at break of the high-modulus thread ranges from 1%-8%, and the elongation at break of the low-modulus thread ranges from 9%-30%.

Hybrid cord for use as reinforcement in a belt bandage of a pneumatic vehicle tire

The disclosed rubber mixture comprises: at least one diene rubber, 15 to 55 phr of at least one filler, at least one hydrocarbon resin comprising 25% to 100% by weight of aromatic monomers, having a softening point according to ASTM E 28 (ring and ball) of 70&#xb0; C. to 130&#xb0; C., and 0 phr of further plasticizers, that is, the sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture is free from further plasticizers.

Rubber mixture and vehicle tires

A pneumatic commercial vehicle tire of radial design includes at least a three-ply belt, of which two belt plies are working plies and one radially outermost belt ply is a cover ply. Each of these belt plies includes reinforcements which are made of steel cord and which are embedded in elastomer. The steel cords of each of the three belt plies are coated with brass so as to provide for good elastomer adhesion. The brass coating of the reinforcement supports of the two working plies has a copper proportion of 60 wt. % to 65 wt. % and the brass coating of the reinforcement supports of the cover ply has a copper proportion of 66 wt. % to 70 wt. %.

A sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture, in particular for pneumatic vehicle tires, straps, belts, and hoses, is disclosed which exhibits, among other things, improved rolling resistance behavior. A pneumatic vehicle tire has a radial carcass, a sulfur-impregnated rubber mixture which contains 70 to 100 phr (parts per weight related to 100 parts per weight of the entire types of rubber in the mixture) of natural rubber, up to 30 phr of at least one polybutadiene, up to 15 phr of at least one soot, 20 to 100 phr of at least one silica, at least one silane coupling agent and one adhesive system. In order to lengthen the service life of the pneumatic vehicle tire, the rubber mixture is the carcass rubber coating and the silica has a CTAB number according to ASTM D 3765 of more than 100 m/g.

Pneumatic vehicle tire

A sulfur-crosslinkable rubberizing mixture for strengthening elements in motor vehicle pneumatic tires comprises 70 to 100 phr (parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of total rubbers in the mixture) of natural rubber, up to 30 phr of at least one polybutadiene, 40 to 70 phr of at least one carbon black and a bonding system. Further, motor vehicle pneumatic tires are disclosed that comprise the sulfur-crosslinked rubberizing mixture. The key conflict between tear propagation resistance, stiffness and heat build-up is solved by virtue of the carbon black being a nanostructured carbon black with a rough surface.

Sulfur-crosslinkable rubberizing mixture

A sulfur-crosslinkable rubberizing mixture for strengthening elements in motor vehicle pneumatic tires comprises 70 to 100 phr (parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of total rubbers in the mixture) of natural rubber, up to 30 phr of at least one polybutadiene, up to 15 phr of at least one carbon black, 20 to 100 phr of at least one high-dispersibility silica, at least one silane coupling agent and a bonding system. The invention further relates to motor vehicle pneumatic tires comprising the sulfur-crosslinked rubberizing mixture. For improved resistance to cracking and growth of cracks with good adhesion and good mechanical and dynamic properties, the high-dispersibility silica has a CTAB number to ASTM D 3765 of more than 130 m/g.

A pneumatic tire for a commercial vehicle with a tread, wherein at least the part of the tread which comes into contact with the road contains a sulphur-vulcanized rubber mixture. The sulphur-vulcanized rubber mixture contains 90 to 50 phr (parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight, of all of the rubbers in the mixture) of natural rubber, 10 to 50 phr of at least one polybutadiene having a glass transition temperature Tof &#x2212;110 to &#x2212;65&#xb0; C. and 5 to 50 phr of at least one aliphatic and/or aromatic hydrocarbon resin having a softening point (ring and ball to ASTM E 28) of 0 to 150&#xb0; C., and a mean molecular weight Mof less than 2000 g/mol and a polydispersity D=M/Mof 1 to 5.
