A video communication system comprising at least one video data transmission unit for sending or receiving video data over a data network is disclosed, as well as a corresponding video data transmission method. The transmission unit comprising an image acquiring circuitry or an image reconstruction circuitry for acquiring or reconstruction an image frame or image field, a video processing unit for processing at least part of the video data and a communication unit for sending or receiving at least part of the data. At least two of the image acquiring circuitry or image reconstruction circuitry, the video processing unit and the communication unit are arranged for simultaneously handling different parts of a same image frame or image same field of the video data.

Ultra low latency video communication

A multiple viewpoint endoscope system having a multiple viewpoint camera setup and/or an intelligent or cognitive image control system and display device particularly adapted for localizing internal structures within a cavity or an enclosing structure, such as an animal body, for instance the abdomen of an animal or human, or for localizing a real or synthetic image of such internal structures within an overview image or on an overview 3D model.

Endoscopic vision system

By present invention it has been found that hypothermia decreases adhesion formation more specifically pneumoperitoneum-enhanced adhesion formation. A cooling system has been designed to reduce the peritoneal cavity temperature during surgery, while maintaining at all times a 100% relative humidity in order to prevent desiccation, and a regulatory unit designed to condition the insufflated gas to achieve this while minimalising the necessary cooling. This is a new method for more effectively preventing adhesion though cooling while preventing desiccation. In mice it was demonstrated that factors such as environmental temperature, anaesthesia, ventilation and pneumoperitoneum can be used to influence body temperature in order to prevent adhesion formation.
