A plasticizing unit for a molding machine includes an injection cylinder and an axially movable plasticizing screw arranged in the injection cylinder. A filter device for filtering plasticized material, in particular plasticized plastic, is provided, and the filter device is or can be arranged axially movable in the injection cylinder.

A plasticizing unit includes an injection cylinder having a dispensing opening, via which a plasticized material can be dispensed, and a plasticizing screw arranged to be rotationally and linearly movable in the injection cylinder and having an axis of rotation. A plasticizing zone is formed between the plasticizing screw and the injection cylinder in the radial direction relative to the axis of rotation of the plasticizing screw. The plasticizing screw has a dam element, and in the injection cylinder there is a first opening in the area of the plasticizing zone and/or the dam element and a second opening between the dam element and the dispensing opening.

Apparatus for degassing a plasticizable material, wherein the apparatus has at least one passage having a inlet opening for the feed of the material in the plasticized state. Provided downstream of the at least one passage in the flow direction of the plasticized material is a plurality of substantially parallelly arranged partial passages so that a material flow flowing through the passage is split up into partial flows by the partial passages, and the partial passages open into a free space so that the material expands in the free space, wherein at least one of the partial passages has a taper.

Apparatus and method for degassing a plasticized material

A filter device for plasticized molding material includes a filter housing and a filter element arranged in the filter housing. The filter housing has at least two housing elements movable relative to each other. A drive is provided, via which the housing elements are movable between an open position and a closed position. The filter element is at least partially released in the open position of the housing elements and can preferably be taken out of the filter housing.

A method of influencing a backpressure length and/or a screw return speed in an axially extending plasticizing cylinder of a plasticizing unit for an injection moulding machine including a plasticizing screw arranged displaceably and rotatably in a cylinder bore of the plasticizing cylinder. Metering of plastic granulate fed to the plasticizing unit is carried out in dependence on the desired backpressure length in the plasticizing unit, and the plasticizing unit is operated in underfed mode.
