A hand-worn workwear unit for scanning barcodes, including a portable control system configured to connect to an external device via a wireless signal, a sensor module having a barcode scanner, a peripheral device, and a seat fastened to a backhand portion of the hand-worn workwear unit. The portable control system and the sensor module form a structural unit configured to be inserted into and removed from the seat. The seat provides a contact point for detachably electrically connecting the peripheral device and the sensor module via one or more wires in the hand-worn workwear unit. The peripheral device has push button which is arranged outside on an index finger portion of the hand-worn workwear unit.

A workwear unit for detecting, documenting, analyzing, monitoring and/or teaching processes includes a portable control system, at least one functional module connected with the portable control system, and which comprises at least a sensor module and a peripheral device, and at least a glove fastening the portable control system and the functional module to a user's body. The portable control system and the sensor module form a structural unit connected with the glove. The sensor module has a barcode scanner fastened to the back of a hand. The peripheral device has an electrical release which is arranged outside on an index finger of the glove.

A workwear unit for detecting, documenting, analyzing, monitoring and/or teaching processes has a portable control system and at least one functional module that is detachably connected with the control system. The functional module comprises at least a sensor module and/or a peripheral device. The unit includes at least a glove and/or a bracelet which can be worn on the hand or on the arm and fastens the control system and/or the functional module to the user's body.

An improved histopathological score is obtained by generating image objects from images of tissue containing stained epithelial cells. First objects are generated that correspond to basal cells stained with a first stain, such as p63. Second objects are generated that correspond to luminal cells stained with a second stain, such as CK18. If the same tissue is not stained with both stains, then the images of differently stained tissue are co-registered. Third objects are defined to include only those second objects that have more than a minimum separation from any first object. A scoring region includes the third objects, and the histopathological score is determined based on tissue that falls within the scoring region. For example, a Gleason score of prostate tissue is determined by classifying tissue patterns in the scoring region. Alternatively, a Gleason pattern is assigned by counting the number of third objects that possess a predetermined form.
