A compressor-oil-receiving apparatus for a compressor system filled with a compressor oil for transfer into the compressor system. The apparatus includes a housing which forms a receiving volume for the compressor oil, and an oil filler neck with a filling opening on a side, which is directed away from the receiving volume and with an outlet opening on a side which is directed toward the receiving volume, wherein the oil filler neck forms a housing opening for filling of the receiving volume with the compressor oil, and the outlet opening is arranged such that, through filling of the receiving volume, an air volume enclosed by the housing, and the compressor oil that has been introduced is formed in the receiving volume.

The invention relates to a drain valve for a cooler of a compressor, with a pressure chamber which can be connected to the inner chamber of the cooler by means of a connection opening, and an outlet for removing a condensate. The valve according to the invention comprises a pneumatic switching device and a non-return valve which are operatively connected to the pressure chamber, with an operative connection between the switching device and the non-return valve by means of which the non-return valve can be switched to an open position by the switching device. During the idle operation of the compressor, the non-return valve can be switched by means of the switching device into an open position such that condensate from the connection opening can be removed through the outlet via the non-return valve.

A piston compressor includes at least one cylinder for compressing air with a piston arranged such that it can move therein in a compression chamber arranged above the piston in the cylinder. The compression chamber is connected to an inlet arrangement for air to be compressed and to an outlet arrangement for compressed air, the piston compressor being drivable by a first drive device. A rail vehicle compressor system comprises a compressor, driven by an electrical machine via a drive shaft, for producing compressed air for at least one compressed air tank. The electrical machine is activated at least indirectly via a control device for operating the electrical machine at least one nominal speed between a maximum speed and a minimum speed. At least one pressure sensor determines the pressure for the control device and is disposed in a compressed-air-carrying line downstream of the compressor. A final control element for continuously influencing the speed of the electrical machine is disposed between an electrical supply and the electrical machine, wherein the control device controls activation of the final control element. A method for controlling the compressor system is also provided, wherein, the compressor is operated at a variable speed in between the maximum speed and the minimum speed based on rail vehicle operating state.

A compressed air supply device for a rail vehicle, having a main compressor for generating compressed air for a pneumatic brake system and a vehicle battery for supplying electric energy. The compressed air generator for supplying additional auxiliary air for operating at least one pneumatic actuator is provided in a frame of an adjusting drive for a pantograph. The compressed air generator for supplying auxiliary air includes an electric frequency converter for operating the electric-motor driven main compressor of the rail vehicle with low rotational speed from the electric drive energy provided by the vehicle battery. A method and device for regeneration of an adsorption air dryer having at least two desiccant-filled drying vessels connected in parallel, wherein a humid compressed-air stream generated by a compressor flows through one of the drying vessels in a drying phase and a dry compressed-air stream flows through the other drying vessel, for the purpose of dewatering the desiccant, in a simultaneous regeneration phase, wherein a valve arrangement is provided for switching the drying vessels alternately between drying phase and regeneration phase during normal operation, wherein the control mechanism are provided for implementing a post-regeneration phase, which control mechanism initiates a further flow through the drying vessel with dry compressed air for complete regeneration and also a flow through the other drying vessel; with dry compressed air for complete regeneration, so that, upon the next start of operation of the adsorption air dryer, operation commences with fully regenerated drying vessels.
