The invention relates to ester compounds of the general formula (I) to a process for preparation thereof and to the use thereof. These ester compounds may contain a mixture of at least two compounds of the general formula (I).

Ester compounds, method for the production thereof and use thereof

A lubricant composition is provided which comprises a base oil and hydroxytyrosol and/or esters thereof. Also provided is a lubricant composition in which the esters have a solubility in the base oil at 25&#xb0; C. of at least 0.1 g/l. Further provided is a lubricant composition in which the esters are at least partly carboxylic acid esters comprising esters of hydroxytyrosol and Ccarboxylic acids.

The invention relates to novel ester compounds of the general formula (I) to a process for preparation thereof and to the use thereof. These ester compounds may contain a mixture of at least two compounds of the general formula (I).

Water-based lubricants for the lubrication of frictional partners in drive elements, as well as their use. In particular, a water-based lubricant that contains 5 to 80% by weight of water-soluble polyalkylene glycol that is selected from the group that is composed of statistically distributed polyoxyethylene units and/or polyoxypropylene units and/or other polyoxyalkylene components, a block polymer that that is composed of polyoxyethylene units and/or polyoxypropylene units and/or other polyoxyalkylene components, 0.5 to 20% by weight of foaming or non-foaming emulsifiers from the class of anionic, non-ionic, or cationic surfactants, water-soluble or water-emulsifiable carboxylic acid esters, 0.5 to 50% by weight of anti-icing additives, selected from the group that is composed of alkylene glycol, glycerol, salts or ionic liquids, 0.05 to 10% by weight of corrosion additives, 0.001 to 1% by weight of additives for preventing the formation of foam, and 0.05 to 5% by weight of friction-reducing agents and water added to make 100% by weight.

The invention relates to a lubricant composition based on modified, natural and renewable raw materials, the viscosity of which can be adjusted according to the application. The invention relates more particularly to biodegradable lubricant compositions.
