An apparatus for aligning at least one note of value along a transport path including at least one transport element, at least one first drive unit, first and second rotatably mounted deflecting elements, and a second drive unit. The transport element includes an endless drive belt. The first drive unit drives the transport element in a first direction of rotation which moves the note of value along the transport path in a transport direction. The transport element is deflected over the deflecting elements. The second drive unit displaces at least one of the first and second deflecting elements along its axis of rotation so that by displacing the one of the first and second deflecting elements the note of value contacting the at least one transport element is moved obliquely to the transport direction.

Apparatus for aligning notes of value

An apparatus for aligning at least one note of value along a transport path has at least one transport element and at least one first drive unit for driving the transport element. The driven transport element moves the note of value along the transport path in a transport direction. The transport element includes an endless drive belt, which is deflected over at least two rotatably mounted deflecting elements and a second drive unit for displacing one of the deflecting elements along its axis of rotation. By displacing the deflecting element, the note of value contacting the belt is moved obliquely to the transport direction. A further apparatus includes at least one vane wheel by which the note of value is movable transversely to the transport direction.

A drum storage module () for receiving notes of value () has a winding drum () onto which the notes of value () are windable so as to be received between at least two foil belts (to). Further, a sensor for determining the maximum filling level of notes of value in the drum storage module () is provided and has a light source () and a light receiver () arranged such that the beam path () from the light source () to the light receiver () extends parallel to the longitudinal axis () of the winding drum ().

Drum storage module for receiving notes of value

An apparatus for aligning at least one note of value along a transport path includes at least one transport element driven by at least one first drive unit and at least one counter-pressure element arranged opposite to the transport element. The transport path of the note of value extends between the transport element and the counter-pressure element. The counter-pressure element is ball-shaped and is mounted so as to be freely rotatable. Further, the apparatus includes a second drive unit for displacing the transport element along its axis of rotation so that a note of value arranged between the transport element and the counter-pressure element is moved transversely to the transport direction during displacement of the transport element.

The invention relates to a method for determining the stock of notes of value of a drum storage (). For at least a part of the notes of value, the current motor position is determined after winding up the note of value and stored such that it is unambiguously assigned to the respective note of value. For determining the stock of the drum storage (), the current motor position is determined and compared with the stored motor positions. Dependent on the result of this comparison, the stock is determined. Further, the invention relates to a device () for receiving notes of value, which comprises a drum storage (), a memory element and a control unit (), the control unit () implementing the above-described method steps.
