A method collects data in a network having a consumption meter as part of a supply network and containing a sensor. The sensor contains a measuring element which provides raw measurement data corresponding to a physical or physicochemical value or parameter. The sensor contains a communication device and a memory. For the determination of the measurement resolution of the sensor the conditions for generating time stampings using a correlation model are determined in advance. On a basis of the correlation model, time stampings of successive raw measurement data in the sensor are generated, the time stampings are stored in the memory. The time stampings are transmitted over a wired connection and/or a radio link so that on the basis of the time stampings using the correlation model the raw measurement data collected by the measuring element are reconstructed and evaluated. Whereas raw measurement data is used for on-demand network analysis.

The innovation relates to technologies by which the signal characteristics and, hence, environmental conditions of a transmitter can be concealed. In one aspect, a data transmitter comprises a transmitter and a changer, wherein the transmitter is configured to transmit a signal, wherein at least one signal parameter of the signal depends on at least one environmental parameter in an environment of the data transmitter, wherein the changer is configured to change the at least one signal parameter of the signal or a parameter on which the at least one signal parameter of the signal depends, in order to conceal the at least one environmental parameter.

A method for transmitting data or sensor data by radio between a preferably fixed battery-operated node and base station in a communication system with bidirectional radio transmission, includes providing a base station communication module having a first frequency transmitter, and a node communication module having a first frequency transmitter and second frequency transmitter with lower frequency. Embodiments provide a method for generating a hopping pattern for transmitting a plurality of sub-data packets in a communication system. The method has a step of deriving a hopping pattern from a binary sequence, wherein an autocorrelation function of the binary sequence has autocorrelation side maximums with a predetermined maximum value. A software defined radio type radio receiver is used in an environment that is self-sufficient in energy. The radio receiver has a receiving device, which receives the data in the form of a data packet or a portion thereof or a data stream at a certain data rate, and provides the data for further data processing. Wherein in an operating mode, the data is diverted at the receiving device and supplied to a microcontroller at a sampling rate which preferably can be defined. The microcontroller decimates the data by selecting a subset from the set of samples, and the microcontroller buffers in a memory and provides for further processing the decimated data.

Radio receiver and communications system

A method operates a supply system having a measuring unit and a central unit. Information is transferred repeatedly at specific time intervals via a communication network by radio between the central unit and the measuring unit. The measuring unit or the central unit receives the information and then generates a receipt confirmation, which it transmits to the central unit or the measuring unit respectively. The central unit or the measuring unit, after transmitting the information, opens a receive window of a certain time length for receiving the receipt confirmation. As a result of a first trigger event, the time intervals between the repeat transmissions of the information are shortened, and/or an additional receive window for receiving the receipt confirmation is opened, and as a result of a second trigger event, the time intervals between the repeat transmissions are lengthened, and/or no additional receive windows are opened.

A data receiver receives at least one signal from a data transmitter and determines therefrom at least one environment parameter of the data transmitter or of an environment of the data transmitter. A method collects data via a sensor being part of a supply network which distributes a consumable. The sensor contains a measuring element which provides elementary measuring units, which correspond to a variable or a parameter, as raw measurement data, where consumption data are generated from the elementary measuring units. The sensor has a communication device and a storage device. To determine the measurement resolution of the sensor, the conditions for generating time stamps are determined using a correlation model. Time stamps of successive raw measurement data are generated in the sensor based on the correlation model, the time stamps are transmitted via a wired connection and/or via a radio path, with the result that the raw measurement data acquired by the measuring element are reconstructed and evaluated on the basis of the time stamps using the correlation model. The consumption data are transmitted in parallel with the time stamps.

Method for collecting data and sensor, data collector and measurement data information network

A method collects data during operation of a local sensor as a component of a supply network for distributing a consumable. The supply network contains a master in communication with the local sensor via a primary communication path. The sensor contains a measuring element which supplies, as raw measurement data, elementary measurement units. A wired primary communication path is provided between the sensor and the master. To define the measurement resolution of the sensor, the conditions for generating time stamps are defined in advance using a correlation model. The time stamps of successive items of raw measurement data are generated in the sensor on the basis of the correlation model. The time stamps are transmitted via the primary communication path so that the raw measurement data acquired by the measuring element is reconstructed using the correlation model on the basis of the time stamps received by the master, and analyzed.
