A method for sampling milk in a milking machine includes the steps of attaching teat cups to teats of an animal and starting to milk said teats; receiving a first amount of milk in a milk receiver while keeping an outlet valve device open; closing the outlet valve device; continuing the receiving of milk in the milk receiver; agitating the milk in the milk receiver using an agitation device of a milk sampling arrangement; taking a regular milk sample from the milk in an outlet portion of the milk receiver using a milk sample device of the milk sampling arrangement; and opening the outlet valve device so that the milk can be transferred to a milk tank.

Method for sampling of milk in a milking machine and a milking machine

A teatcup includes a sleeve, a teacup liner provided in the sleeve, and a milk receptacle including a milk space. An inlet channel extends between an inner space of the teatcup liner and the milk space for conveying milk from a teat into the milk space. An outlet channel extends from the milk space and is connectable to a milk conduit for conveying the milk in a milk flow from the milk space. A gas supply channel conveys a gas into the milk space for promoting the milk flow. The gas supply channel has an inlet communicating with a gas source, and an outlet into the milk space. The milk space is partly delimited by a side wall. The gas supply channel extends within the side wall and along a surface of the side wall.

Teatcup

A pressure control device for a milking machine includes a housing, a vacuum inlet, and two control circuits. Each circuit includes a main vacuum passage extending through the housing from the vacuum inlet to an outlet, and a main valve configured to take one of an open position and a closed position. A pilot passage extends from the main vacuum passage and includes a pilot valve body configured to take one of an open pilot position and a closed pilot position. The pilot passage acts in the open pilot position on the main valve to move to the open position, and permits in the closed pilot position the main valve to move to the closed position. A solenoid controls the pilot valve body. A holding member receives the solenoid and is attached to the housing through a first bayonet coupling.
