The present document relates to a level shifter circuit configured to transform an input voltage at an input of the level shifter circuit into an output voltage at an output of the level shifter circuit. The level shifter circuit may comprise a first switching element coupled between an output supply voltage and a positive output terminal, wherein a control terminal of the first switching element is coupled to a negative output terminal. The level shifter circuit may comprise a second switching element coupled between the output supply voltage and the negative output terminal, wherein a control terminal of the second switching element is coupled to the positive output terminal. The level shifter circuit may comprise a drive circuit configured to drive the control terminals of the first and the second switching element based on the input voltage at the input of the level shifter circuit.

High voltage shifters

A circuit and a method using a pass device that is coupled between a supply voltage level and a load-connectable node of the circuit for providing a load current. A sense device forms a current mirror with the pass device. The sense device has transistor devices that can be switched to an active state, to adjust a mirror ratio of the current mirror. A first feedback loop regulates a voltage drop across the pass device to a predetermined value. A second feedback loop regulates a voltage drop across the sense device to the voltage drop across the pass device. Measurement circuitry sets a mirror ratio of the current mirror based on an indication of a current flowing through the sense device and generates an indication of current flowing through the pass device based on the set mirror ratio and the indication of the current flowing through the sense device.

Wide range high accuracy current sensing

A system to regulate an output voltage based on a reference voltage is described. The system has an error amplifier to determine an error voltage by cumulating a deviation of a feedback voltage from the reference voltage, wherein the feedback voltage is indicative of the output voltage. The system has a PWM unit to generate a PWM control signal based on the error voltage. In addition, the system has a voltage setting unit to set the output voltage based on the PWM control signal. The system has a saturation detection unit to detect a saturation situation of the system. In addition, the system has a clamping means to interrupt a further build-up of the error voltage in the saturated direction while allowing a modification of the error voltage in an opposite direction, opposite to the saturated direction, if a saturation situation is detected.

PWM controlled loop with anti-windup protection

A circuit and a method for sensing a current flowing from a supply voltage into an electric load are presented. The current sensing circuit comprises a first circuit branch connected between the supply voltage and the electric load, a second circuit branch connected between the supply voltage and ground, and an equalization circuit for equalizing a first voltage drop across a first resistive element and a second voltage drop across a second resistive element and for generating an indication of a current flowing through the second circuit branch.

Offset neutral compensation for high-accuracy current sensing

At least one asymmetry element is configured to receive an input signal and is coupled to a first branch of a bi-stable flip-flop comprising the first branch and a second branch. An asymmetry between the first branch and the second branch depends on the input signal. A value indicative of the input signal is determined based on received output signals of a plurality of readout events.

Analog-to-digital conversion

Apparatuses and methods are provided where a predefined voltage may be applied in a feedback circuit of a voltage regulator, the feedback circuit coupling and output terminal with an adjust terminal of the voltage regulator.

Apparatus providing an output voltage

A voltage regulator includes an output stage including a control terminal and a load path, with the load path coupled between the input terminal and the output terminal. The voltage regulator also includes a control circuit with an input stage, a first current mirror, and a second current mirror. The input stage includes a first control input configured to receive a first reference voltage, a second control input configured to receive a second reference voltage, a feedback input coupled to the output terminal, a first output terminal, and a second output terminal. The first current mirror includes a reference current path coupled between a first supply terminal and the first output terminal of the input stage, and an output current path coupled between the first supply terminal and the control terminal of the pass device.
