Film structures and related methods and uses thereof are described herein. One or more of the film structures generally include an A layer, a B layer and a C layer. The B layer is positioned between the A layer and the C layer. The A layer includes high density polyethylene. The B layer includes linear low density polyethylene and a nucleating agent. The C layer includes one or more polymers. One or more of the related methods include methods for producing film structures including an A layer, a B layer, and a C layer.

Polyethylene film structures and related methods

Catalyst systems and solution olefin polymerization processes using a combination of titanium compounds (e.g. halides) with vanadium compounds (e.g. halides or oxyhalides) with tri-n-octyl aluminum (TNOAL) as a co-catalyst, which provides lower in situ oligomerization of olefins that are incorporated into the homopolymer. This feature provides a higher density homopolymer using TNOAL, which enhances polymer properties such as increased moisture barrier and stiffness. Multi-reactor systems and solution olefin polymerization processes comprising this catalyst system.

Tri-n-octyl aluminum co-catalyst for higher density homopolymers for the solution process

A film having an A/B/A structure comprising an layer A and a layer B. The layer A is present in an amount ranging from 25 to 65 wt. %, based upon the total weight of the A/B/A structure, and the layer A comprises a first A layer and a second A layer each independently comprise linear low density polyethylene. The layer B is present in an amount ranging from 35 to 75 wt. %, based upon the total weight of the A/B/A structure, and the layer B, which comprises high density polyethylene, is positioned between the first A layer and the second A layer.

High clarity and strength polyethylene films

An article that is made of a film a film having a narrow angle scattering (NAS) of greater than 40, a drop dart impact of greater than 100 grams, and a blocking of less than 40 g/16 in. In particular, the film in made of a blend of: (a) a LDPE, (b) a LLDPE produced with a single-site catalyst; and (c) one or more anti-block additives.

A laminate and a process for making it are disclosed. The laminate comprises a metal substrate and a polymer layer that adheres to at least one plasma-treated surface of the metal substrate. The polymer layer comprises a blend of a first polyolefin and a grafted polyolefin. The laminate can be prepared by plasma-treating at least one surface of a metal substrate and extruding onto the plasma-treated surface a polymer layer comprising a blend of a first polyolefin and a grafted polyolefin.

Polyolefin-metal laminate

Ethylene copolymers valuable for films, coatings, sheets, and molded articles are disclosed. Some of the copolymers have a long-chain-branching index from 0.25 to 0.60 and a gpcBR index from 0.1 to 0.7. Others have a primary DSC melting point that is less than its secondary DSC melting point. Also disclosed is LLDPE in which the weight percentage of the low-temperature elution fraction exceeds that of the high-temperature fraction, and wherein the Mof the low-temperature fraction exceeds that of the high-temperature fraction. The ethylene copolymers process easily, even at low melt indices, and films from the copolymers have high stiffness, good impact resistance, and high heat-seal strength over a wide temperature range.

Polyolefin compositions

A method for transmitting data is provided. The method includes receiving, from upstream in the path, a first data packet containing at least data and an associated first transmission protocol header; disabling the association between the first transmission protocol header and the data; associating a second transmission protocol header with the data, the second transmission protocol header being independent from the first transmission protocol header; and sending, downstream in the path, a second data packet containing at least the data and the associated second transmission protocol header. The first protocol is preferably different from the second protocol.
