A method of producing artificial rock formations such as rocks and waterfalls by (a) forming a flexible mold of latex, silicone or urethane from a master model; (b) forming a sectional fiberglass cradle to support the flexible mold; and (c) coating the flexible mold with layers of lacquer, non-foaming polyurethanepolyisocyanate, and foaming polyurethane-polyisocyanate; and (d) demolding and coating the final rock formation product with paint or a stain.

Method of producing artificial rocks and waterfalls

A miniaturized lighting apparatus for a rotating object includes a light-emitting diode (LED), a centrifugal switch, a tiny 3 volt power source, and electrical conduits. The switch is configured to provide power to the LED only upon application of a specific centrifugal force. As applied to an in-line roller skate wheel, the switch and LED may be sealed within the wheel, and the batteries never need replacement because the battery life exceeds the expected wheel life. An in-line skate wheel incorporating the lighting apparatus within it is activated to light the wheel at a predetermined centrifugal force equivalent to a given rotational speed of the wheel, such as 80 rpm. As applied to a reflector light for a bicycle wheel, the light draws power from the battery(ies) only while the wheel is turning at a minimum predetermined rotational speed such as 20 rpm. As applied to a rotatable flying disc, lighting apparatus are mounted on opposite sides of the disc, near the disc periphery. The switch is constructed to actuate the LED at a low rotational speed, and the disc itself is constructed of a phosphorescent material with persistent afterglow. Alternatively, a time delay may be incorporated into the lighting circuit to provide a delayed shut-off of current to the LED.

Miniature centrifugal lighting assembly

A food plate has one or more openings formed through a central portion thereof for receiving a container, such as for holding beverages, food, or other items. A raised ridge is formed about the opening to prevent food from spilling off. In a first embodiment, the container has an outer surface which tapers from a smaller diameter lower end to a larger diameter upper end. In a second embodiment, a flange portion is provided on the outer surface of the container having a diameter which is greater than the diameter of the first opening. A slot may be formed from the outer peripheral edge of the food plate to the first opening to accommodate stemware styled containers. A raised ridge may be formed on or in the central portion of the food plate, extending completely about the slot to prevent food from spilling off. A second opening may be formed through the central portion of the food plate for receiving the end of a thumb therein. A raised ridge may be formed on or in the central portion of the food plate, extending completely about the second opening to prevent food from spilling off.

Food plate with beverage container holder

A disposable protective garment to be worn primarily by a medical and/or nursing attendant while treating burn victims. Primarily the garment includes a front portion which covers the front body portion of the attendant. An abbreviated back portion covers the shoulder portions of the attendant sufficiently to hold the garment in place. Ties may be provided on a waist portion of the garment to hold the garment securely on that portion of the body. Sleeve portions of the garment are provided with weakened areas to provide means for adjusting the length of the sleeves to different personnel. In one modification a back body portion may have perforations to provide ventilation. In another modification a part of the back portion may be separable to provide such ventilation. Another modification may be sleeveless.

Cross-contamination of the patients using the same sitz bath in a health-care institution is precluded by lining the bath with a disposable sheet of biologically-clean, flexible plastic film, thereby establishing a physical barrier to prevent any contact (and consequently a transmission path for bacteria) between the sitz bath and patient and between the bath and water. A plastic collar or grommet, which surrounds and extends through a drain opening in the liner, inserts into the bath's drain. Water may be run continuously into the lined sitz bath and drained out through the collared drain opening. To provide a predetermined water level in the sitz bath, a plastic standpipe is inserted into, and held by, the plastic collar.

Contamination prevention device for sitz bath

Cross-contamination of the patients using the same bathtub in a health-care institution is precluded by lining the tub, before it is filled with water, with a disposable sheet of biologically-clean, flexible plastic film, thereby establishing a physical barrier to prevent any contact (and consequently a transmission path for bacteria) between the bathtub and patient and between the tub and water. Openings are made along the liner's edges in order to hang the liner onto a series of hooks affixed to the three walls surrounding the tub, the hooks being appropriately shaped so that they can be used by the installer to pierce or puncture the liner to make the openings. The liner is merely draped over the front of the tub. Installation is expedited and made easier by providing a series of markers, such as printed rings, along the edges of the liner to designate the areas that should be pierced to achieve proper positioning and centering of the liner within the bathtub.
