A reclosable display package of thin flexible thermoformed plastic material includes a rear base having a recess for containing any articles to be displayed, and substantially flat mating surface surrounding the recess and extending upwardly to a rear top edge, and two forwardly beveled rear base side flanges and one rear base bottom flange which extend rearwardly from three other edges of the flat mating surface to form a rear base skirt. Additionally, the display package includes a front cover which is integrally hinged along a hinge line to the non-beveled rear base bottom flange and is movable between open and closed positions, the front cover having a front plane which extends upwardly to a front top edge, two front cover side flanges which are forwardly beveled and one front cover bottom flange which extend rearwardly from three other edges of the front plane to form a front cover skirt. A flat inscription card may be inserted between the front cover and rear base so that the inscription card lies flat against the front plane, and even may extend upwardly between the front plane and flat mating surface beyond or to the front top edge and rear top edge without being folded within the closed package.

Reclosable display package

A reclosable container formed from thin, flexible thermoformed plastic material. The container has a base and a domed lid joined together by an integral hinge. The relatively flexible container base is stiffened and made rigid only when the lid is inserted into the container base. The lid and the engaged base are strengthened by rims which are provided about the periphery of the lid. Portions of the lid are flared to engage the sides of the base. When the container is closed, the base and the flared portions of the lid provide an essentially non-protruding and smooth label bridge to which a label may be applied without creating a significant gap between the label and the closed container.

Reclosable container with label bridge

A unitary nestable reclosable container is formed from a thin-walled clear flexible plastic or the like and includes a box-like base forming a receptacle for screws, bolts, etc. A lid is integrally joined to the base by a hinge and includes a peripheral groove having walls releasably engaging substantially planar side walls of the base for providing a sturdy closure. The peripheral groove further provides a wall which releasably locks with an upper portion of the base end wall providing a specially designed reversed taper spaced from a lower end wall portion by a restraining shelf. Each side juncture between the lid and base is substantially within a plane provided by the side wall while a label placed across such juncture forms a reliable seal. The side walls and end walls have specially designed pre-established angular orientations with respect to the bottom portion so that a plurality of similarly constructed containers may be nested in a stack while further allowing each individual container to be placed in an upstanding position supported by the end wall and integral hinge.
