The presently disclosed device includes a plurality of vials each bearing a unique identifier and in discrete locations in the device. An alignment assembly aligns one of the discrete locations with an access point for dispensing one of the vials. Computer executable instructions select a vial to be dispensed and store inventory information of the vials. The inventory information associates the unique identifiers with a status for each the plurality of vials indicating whether a vial is: loaded, dispensed, returned, or remaining undispensed in the device. The computer executable instructions also deactivate dispensing of the vials from the device based on at least one signal received from at least one environmental sensor configured to detect one of: location, temperature, humidity, vibration, shock, blood alcohol content (BAC), and light intrusion. A deactivation assembly deactivates dispensing of the vials based on the instructions.

Integrated device and system for remote medications management

In one embodiment, a device includes a plurality of vials each bearing a unique identifier and in discrete locations in the device and an alignment assembly for aligning one of the discrete locations with an access point for dispensing one of the plurality of vials. Computer instructions select a vial of the plurality of vials to be dispensed and inventory information of the plurality of vials is stored, including unique identifiers and a status for each vial. Instructions can deactivate dispensing of the vials based on a signal from an environmental sensor. A deactivation assembly deactivates dispensing of the vials based on the instructions.

A method is provided. The method includes providing an authentication code onto a reference article associated with a person, determining a signature associated with the authentication code, imaging a candidate article to determine an image signature, and comparing the associated signature with the image signature to determine whether the candidate article is the reference article. Systems and methods for authenticating or identifying personnel and personnel related material

The presently disclosed subject matter is directed to compositions of machine verifiable marks comprising embedded unique identifiers and error correction features. In one embodiment, a composition includes an ordered arrangement of reference characters selected from among a plurality of reference characters. Each reference character of the plurality of reference characters is distinct based upon a value calculated by a similarity of one shape to another. The composition further includes a numeric equivalent associated with the reference characters and an error correction feature.

Compositions, systems, and methods for unique identifiers embedded in machine verifiable marks having error correction features

The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems, and computer program products for performing extrinsic copy detection and authentication of items. According to one method, an arrangement of symbols is generated. The symbols may include a variety of letters, groups of letters, characters, or pictures that are used instead of a word or a group of words. The arrangement of symbols are printed on an item which may hereinafter be referred to as the original or authentic item. A representation of the arrangement of symbols is captured after being printed on the original item. A registration signature is generated based on the captured arrangement of symbols. The registration signature is then stored in a database, such as a secure, central electronic database.

Copy detection using extinsic features

The present disclosure relates to nucleic-acid based product authentication and identification by determining authentication codes comprising target nucleic acids using oligonucleotide probes associated with samples. The presence of the authentication code is determined using detection methods, such as flow cytometric methods, capable of particle discrimination based on the light scattering or fluorescence properties of the particle. Target-correlated fluorescence signal, originating from a target nucleic acid hybridized to labeled complementary oligonucleotides is determined as an indicator of the presence of the authentication code. In some embodiments, an intercalating dye is used to determine the presence of target nucleotide/oligonucleotide heterodimers and identify an authentication code.

Nucleic acid-based authentication and identification codes

The present disclosure provides methods, reagents, and apparatus for authenticating and identifying products. Methods of the disclosure are easy to implement but difficult to replicate, simulate, alter, transpose, or tamper with. In some embodiments, the present disclosure relates to a method of authenticating products using a product authentication code defined by a frequency array of a population of entities, and an item identifier defined by the specific manifestation of the product authentication code.

The present invention relates to both systems and methods for product authentication. A system used herein, for example, comprises a population of entities which comprises at least two distinct clusters of entities having detectable counts or relative counts of entities per cluster; a measurement system capable of measuring a signature array of said population of entities; and a means for analyzing said signature array.
