A device may utilize a legacy baseband data for a generation of a plurality of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols for a 60 GHz communication. The device may select a number of subcarriers based on a bandwidth selection. The device may generate an upclock of the legacy baseband data by an upclocking factor that aligns a first bandwidth with a legacy bandwidth. The device may assign a first subcarrier spacing for a first group of bandwidths. The device may assign a second subcarrier spacing for a second group of bandwidths. The device may generate the plurality of OFDM symbols using an upclocking mechanism based on a bandwidth for the 60 GHz communication. The device may cause to send a plurality of OFDM symbols to a station device.

The device may omit pre-Forward Error Correction (FEC) padding of the AMPDU payload at a MAC layer by indicating the AMPDU payload size in a physical layer (PHY)-specific preamble. The device may then generate the PHY-specific preamble comprising the AMPDU payload size without the pre-FEC padding. The device may also calculate a number of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols for containing the number of bits and transmit the PHY-specific preamble and the number of OFDM symbols to a station device.

The device may exchange second capabilities with the second STA, wherein the second capabilities include multi-link operation (MLO) support.
