In one example, a neural network model may be generated for a computing network having a plurality of computing resources. Performance metrics and historical usage patterns are the basis for learning current utilization patterns of the computing resources. A workload capacity for each one of the computing resources may be determined, and a neural path may be generated for execution of a specified workload.

In some examples, non-transitory computer-readable storage stores machine-readable instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to identify an idle state of a computing device; evaluate a root of trust between a security chip and a container system to verify that the container system is a trusted container system; enable the trusted container system; receive a container during the idle state; and execute the container during the idle state using the trusted container system.

Example implementations relate to conversion to an Internet Protocol stream. An example method includes capturing, at a device driver level of a virtual machine, a component for which to provide remote access. The example method further includes converting the component to an Internet protocol stream and providing, independently of an operating system of the VM, the remote access to a display device using the IP stream.

A system and method for enhancing operability of client-server computing system is herein disclosed. A system includes a first computing device. The first computing device includes a file type association module. The file type association module determines, as part of a remote computing session, whether to associate a file type with an application program on the first computing device or an application program on a second computing device. The file type association module causes the file type to associate with the application program on one of the first and second computing devices.

Example implementations relate to determining a device wear-rate. An example system for determining a device wear-rate can include a plurality of filter drivers to: monitor system requests for I/O associated with a device of the system and transmit information associated with the system requests to a filter manager. The system can also include the filter manager to catalog the information, a service to collate the information across a plurality of machine configurations and workloads, and a processor to determine a wear-rate of the device based on an analysis of the collated information.

Example implementations relate to gateway devices coupled to a connection point device. A system can include a first gateway device communicatively coupled to a connection point device and a second gateway device. The second gateway device can be communicatively coupled to the connection point device and the first gateway device and can take control of a portion of the connection point device in response to a failure of the first gateway device.

In some examples, a first computing device installs a driver from a memory of a second computing device into the first computing device, the second computing device physically connected to the first computing device at a first interface. In response to user interaction with machine-readable instructions executed on the first computing device, the machine-readable instructions access an operating system session of an operating system executed on the second computing device while physically connected to the first computing device at the first interface. The driver receives data from the operating system session of the operating system executed on the second computing device, and routes the data to a peripheral device connected to the first computing device at a second interface.

An example method for monitoring different data storage devices across a network includes receiving data storage access requests made to different data storage devices across a network. A subset of the access requests to a taxon of a taxonomy of access request characteristics. For the taxon, a taxon threshold is determined for a parameter based upon the subset of access requests. The parameter of a sample of observed access requests, made to a data storage device and belonging to the taxon, is compared to the taxon threshold. A notification regarding the data storage device is made based upon the comparison.

In an example method, write commands for a solid-state storage medium having storage region are received. Selected write commands are filtered out according to criteria. The selected write commands are cached. Writing pursuant to the selected write commands is aggregated to within boundaries of one of the storage regions of the storage medium.

Example implementations relate to read operation redirect. For example, a system according in the present disclosure may include a data storage device accessible by a host. The system may include an input/output filter of an operating system of the host. The input/output filter may monitor read operations and write operations from the host to the data storage device. The input/output filter may copy a portion of the data storage device to a random-access memory (RAM) buffer within the host responsive to monitored read operations to the portion exceeding a threshold. The input/output filter may redirect a successive read operation, addressed to the portion of the data storage device, to the copy of the portion in the RAM buffer.

Examples of a competing device for universal serial bus data routing are disclosed. In one example implementation according to aspects of the present disclosure, a computing device may include one or more processors, a memory, and a data store. The computing device may also include a first universal serial bus (USB) connection port to communicatively couple an attached computing device to the host computing device, and a second USB connection port to communicatively couple a peripheral device to the host computing device. The computing device may further include a USB data routing module stored in the memory and executing on at least one of the one or more processors to route data between the attached computing device and the peripheral device via the host computing device.

Examples of the present disclosure provide a computing device expansion system. According to one implementation, a docking receptacle is coupled to a touch-enabled monitor computing device and is also configured to receive and connect to a portable electronic device. Furthermore, when the portable electronic device is attached to the docking receptacle, a display area of the portable electronic device is cloned on the monitor computing device such that touch input on either the portable electronic device or monitor computing device is replicated on the monitor computing device or portable electronic device.

Example embodiments disclosed herein relate to establishing a connection over a network between a first host device and a client device.
