The latency of each packet is controlled so as to increase the average latency experienced by the plurality of packets and decrease the variance of the respective latencies experienced by each of the packets.

One or more control circuits can switch the RF switching network between at least a first state and a second state. The method trains a second echo canceller to cancel a second echo signal received in the first direction from the second signal where the first echo canceller cancels the first echo signal that is received in the second direction.
