An anchor system for an erosion control mat is provided. The system includes a bullet anchor comprising a bullet anchor body and a bullet anchor strap integrally molded with and extending from a first side of the bullet anchor body. In embodiments, a lock washer is coupled to the bullet anchor strap. In embodiments, serrations on at least one side of the bullet anchor strap are adapted to prevent the lock washer from traversing the bullet anchor strap in a direction away from the bullet anchor. In embodiments, the lock washer is adapted to couple with an erosion control mat. In embodiments, an anchor tab on a second side of the bullet anchor body secures the bullet anchor body in a ground surface. The anchor system is utilized to secure the erosion control mat to the ground surface and prevent undesired movement of the erosion control mat.

Bullet anchor system

An anchor system for securing a cable within the ground. The system includes a body having a tapered cap and an internal cylindrical slot provided therethrough. A driving rod having an end with a smaller diameter is provided through the slot so that the driving rod extends from the body of the anchor system. The body is provided with a catch through which a line is secured. The driving rod is utilized to drive the anchor system into the ground. As the driving rod extends from the body, the driving rod bears the brunt of the force associated with the driving action, allowing the anchor system to be constructed of a lightweight, inexpensive material. Once the anchor system has been provided at the desired depth, the driving rod is removed and the strap is pulled to set the anchor into place.

Anchor system

An erosion control system for reducing shoreline erosion resulting from wave action, runoff and hydrostatic pressure. The system includes a flexible geotextile provided over a shoreline. A plurality of rigid erosion control mats are provided over the flexible geotextile and secured in place by a plurality of anchors secured into the shoreline. The geotextile, erosion control mat and anchors may be adjusted to accommodate shorelines of varying slopes and susceptibility to erosion.

Shoreline erosion control system

An anchor system for an erosion control surface. The system includes a resilient strap and a one-way retainer, which may be inserted utilizing a single operator and inexpensive tools. The resiliency of the system biases the erosion control surface into the ground and prevents undesired movement of the erosion control surface.

Erosion control mat anchor system

An erosion control system for reducing erosion under effluent flow conditions. The system includes an erosion control mat anchored over an erosion susceptible area. The anchoring system uses an anchor positioned below the soil, connected to the mat by a flexible strap. Due to its high shear resistance, the system may be used in high effluent flow areas, such as drainage ditches and creeks.

An erosion control transition mat for reducing scour and destructive erosion at the transition between hard armor and soft armor erosion control surfaces. The erosion control transition mat is provided with a riser and a plurality of voids which collect to slow and divert effluent from the hard armor to reduce scour and impact on the soft armor. The erosion control transition mat is lightweight and of a low-cost manufacture, and may be installed without the need for large equipment.

Erosion control transition mat

A device for slicing through soil and simultaneously inserting silt fence into the soil. Silt fence is a synthetic material installed in and above the ground to impede silt erosion from areas disturbed by construction. The device comprises a soil disrupter for slicing thinly through the soil 8 inches to 12 inches deep, and an apparatus, operating at the same depth, for converting silt fence, manufactured on a roll, into a vertical position in and above the ground. The apparatus includes a vertical wheel operating between two parallel panels, acting as a moving pivot point where the horizontal silt fence is converted to a vertical position between the panels. The panels hold the soil open while the vertical wheel simultaneously inserts silt fence into the opening. As the machine progresses, soil collapses against the silt fence, thus securing the silt fence in the desired position.

This invention relates to an improved barbecue grill having a means for retarding excessive flame. In combination with a portable barbecue grill that has a kettle, an automatic means for distributing water onto an excessive flame activated by a photodetector that senses light from the excessive flame.
