A method and system for automated and semi-automated predictable, consistent, safe, effective, and lumen-specific and patient-specific cryospray treatment of airway tissue in which treatment duration is automatically set by the system following entry of patient information and treatment location information into the system by the user, and treatment spray is automatically stopped by the system when the automatically selected treatment duration has been achieved as determined by the system.

The present disclosure relates generally to the field of energy transfer mapping, including fixtures with two-dimensional and three-dimensional sensor arrays. In particular, the present disclosure relates to devices and methods for mapping of energy transfer from and/or to an instrument inserted within and/or into body tissue, including the depths and patterns of penetration and/or amounts of energy transfer to and/or from an instrument delivered within biological tissue or materials that mimic biological tissue, including within fixtures with three-dimensional temperature sensor arrays configured to simulate anatomical geometries such as the gastrointestinal (GI) or respiratory tract.

Devices and methods for energy transfer mapping

The present disclosure includes vision preservation systems for medical devices, such as cryospray devices for use with endoscopes. Exemplary embodiments provide a distal attachment in the form of a shroud or cap that mounts to the end of a flexible endoscope. A purging fluid supply mechanism is provided along the length of the endoscope, providing a channel for purging fluid, such as gas, to communicate between the endoscope tip and an external gas supply. The cap or shroud assembly incorporates a lens clearing flow field adjustment mechanism, such as nozzles, designed to direct warm (room temperature or higher) purging fluid across a lens at the scope tip. Another flow deflection mechanism, such as a guide or nozzle, may be included with the cap to direct purging fluid at an angle away from the lens.
