The present invention relates to polypropylene compositions having a meltflow rate MFRof 75 to 250 g/10 min suitable especially for injection moulding applications comprising a heterophasic propylene copolymer and a particulate inorganic nucleating agent, a process for producing said polypropylene composition, an article comprising said polypropylene composition and the use of said polypropylene composition for injection molding of articles.

Propylene is polymerised in the presence of a polymerisation catalyst comprising a solid catalyst component, an organoaluminium compound and an external electron donor, the process comprising the steps of (i) contacting propylene and hydrogen with the polymerisation catalyst in polymerisation conditions in a polymerisation reactor to produce a polymer of propylene; (ii) recovering the polymer of propylene from the polymerisation reactor; wherein the polymer of propylene has MFR of from more than 100 to 10000 g/10 min. The solid catalyst component comprises titanium, magnesium, halogen and an internal electron donor, characterised in that the internal electron donor is a compound according to formula (I):

A process for the preparation of a polypropylene in a sequential polymerization process including a pre-polymerization reactor and at least two polymerization reactors connected in series. The polymerization in the at least two polymerization reactors takes place in the presence of a Ziegler-Natta catalyst. The Ziegler-Natta catalyst includes (a) a pro-catalyst that has a compound of a transition metal, a compound of a metal which metal is selected from one of the groups 1 to 3 of the periodic table (IUPAC), and an internal electron donor, (b) a co-catalyst, and (c) an external donor. The Ziegler-Natta catalyst is present in the pre-polymerization reactor. Ethylene and propylene are fed to the pre-polymerization reactor in a feed rate ratio of 0.5 to 10.0 g/kg.

A process for the preparation of a polypropylene in a sequential polymerization process including at least two polymerization reactors connected in series. The polymerization takes place in the presence of a Ziegler-Natta catalyst, and said Ziegler-Natta catalyst includes (a) a pro-catalyst that has a compound of a transition metal, a compound of a metal which metal is selected from one of the groups 1 to 3 of the periodic table (IUPAC), and an internal electron donor, (b) a co-catalyst, and (c) an external donor. The ratio of catalyst feed rate to propylene feed rate in the first polymerization reactor is 1.0 to 4.5 g/t.
